This fly weapon does not have a barrel to aim with. I had to glue a clear tube to the gun with hot glue. Then I could aim good. They need to add an orange barrel like the other ones.
I got this one today since we’ve been having a fly problem, it took a lot of bargaining but I finally picked it up. Saw your video looking for anyone who had reviewed it, glad to know you earned a new subscriber 👍
I imagine so, with the wiry frames. Hearty little lantern flies, it rockets them flipping through the air where they land stunned, but eventually keep moving. So takes some repetition.@@MongooseJakeNerf
Received mine last Saturday June 22. Trying to shoot Lantern Flies. Found it hard to aim. The Lantern Flies jump pretty fast too. They move when you get close to them. Was thinking I need to put some cotton balls on toothpicks to zero my bug slayer. Thank you, and yes, I'd love to see the 150 shot video.
Mongoose I saw this at Walmart yesterday and wondered how it preformed. Thanks for the info. Going to go pick one up to take out some pests. Keep up the great work.
I would assume so, either add a spring spacer or replacement spring. Haven't modded either of mine yet, but still use them as recently as yesterday. Absolutely obliterated a horse fly!
Might be worth a try. I just took out a few flies and a wasp with this a few days ago with the regular salt, so if coarser salts might help, why not try?
@@MongooseJakeNerf I just tried Morton Kosher coarse salt in my gun and it works fine. A 3 lb box is only $3.44 at Walmart. Bug-A-Salt has high performance, coarse grain ammo, but it's $9.95 for 18 oz. It's Kosher salt for me.
As cool as the Bug Hunter is it uses too much salt. If it has higher PSI than the Bug Hunter sign me up for that. I'm going to make my Hornets unhappy it's payback time
I'm still using mine and loving the thing, it's like a pistol shotgun for flies, gnats, and mosquitoes. Splatters all of those easily even from a few feet away.
Hunter lacks power. Far as shot goes.. all of them can use the same shot. It needs a divider in the hopper allowing kosher for one barrel and red lentals for the other. for compactness i will keep a slayer in my car, double barrel too clumsy. I do have a Beelzebub shooter in every room for I don't like winged maggots anymore than I like Mouse guts. A long barrel allows you to shoot something on the ceiling which is great for the wife, but Google the fly and you'll find he has excellent vision and he will see trigger movement and Dee Dee Mao. The only thing you'll have to show for it is salt on the floor and that ain't worth it. . ..
Dude you are epic thank you for all your hard work and reviews just felt like showing some appreciation for i watch all your videos
Thanks, that means a lot! I'll be back to more videos later this week, have had to take time away for life reasons.
When are you coming out with new videos?
Been taking a break to get some things in order, both in life and in the workshop. Soon more videos will be coming!
That's awesome! I was wondering if they were gonna release any more salt blasters! :D
Yep, and this one's a homerun big time.
Okay, I'm gonna have to find this. I've been getting into grilling more, and I get tired of all the flies and wasps around!

Found some at Tractor Supply also this week.
Might have to pick this one up. Thanks Jake!
I would, it's cheap and works great.

Well thanks for dropping by!
I've used the Bugassault on Lantern flies and it takes a few rounds but wow does it send them flying.
I've used my Bug Hunter a ton on mosquitoes and flies, splatters them nicely.

Works good, already love my Bug Hunter, and this just seems better all around.
I wonder can you take it apart and tighten the spring
I would assume so, either add a spring spacer or replacement spring. Haven't modded either of mine yet, but still use them as recently as yesterday. Absolutely obliterated a horse fly!
I've heard coarse ground salt, like Kosher style, is more effective? What do you think?
Might be worth a try. I just took out a few flies and a wasp with this a few days ago with the regular salt, so if coarser salts might help, why not try?

Does it matter what type of salt you put in it
Just regular size salt, no rock salt. That's the only thing that'd matter, otherwise no.

Great review as always.
Btw you know anyone that's looking for a Buzz Bee Destiny?
I'm always looking for Destiny's, as it's my favorite blaster.
Should be fun with cicadas

Can you just shoot the gun, stop talking
Nope, this is how I review items. I give my feedback and opinion, not just a basic firing demo.
I love you
