@@phyzix_phyzix I’m a teacher with 23 years of experience. Vouchers are a joke. Your comment shows what you understand about education. The reason private schools outperform public has several important components. The first being that private school can reject anyone they want. If a child is a discipline problem, they are expelled. Special Education students are nonexistent. Federal and state laws do not apply to them. 2. Parent insolvent and horrific home lives are an issue with public school students. How can you expect a child to perform academically if they are afraid of going home after school, they’re hungry, homeless, being bullied or familial issues? 3. The Behavior Code by Jessica Minahan and Nancy Rappaport talks about how specialized programs provided in private and charter schools change the behaviors and outcomes for children with behavioral and family issues. Public education is a one size fits all solution that fails specifically the students you mention. Private schools have more freedom to provide tailor made solutions that deal with specific issues. Additionally, private schooling provides the parent the choice to change schools if they feel their child is not receiving the required attention, support, or protections against things like bullying. The median cost for a public school student is $30k per year. The median cost for a private school student is $15k per year. Private and charter school students out perform public school students by a huge margin. Private schools have 1 big advantage over public schools. You can hold them accountable by choosing to give your money to a different school if they're not delivering the results you want. You can't do that with public schools. Get rid of the department of education and give parents a $15k voucher to send their kids to a private school. Schools will then compete to provide the best results because they want the money.
3. Vouchers do not cover the total cost of tuition. Parents often do not understand this. They realize that tuition costs much more financially than the voucher.
@@alishanicole3887 Federal and state laws do not apply to private schools? They are above the law? I think you may need to go back to school and educate yourself.
Private schools cannot discriminate against protected groups like disability, economic, or racial backgrounds. Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Americans with Disabilities Act just to name a few.

If your child is being bullied in a public school good luck because its very difficult, and in some cases impossible, to change schools.
