is it me or when you start the automatic downloads for the mods on the server, its a shit ton of space lol?
I find that 20 min videos get watched through more often than longer ones, plus anything longer than 20 mins can take a long time to make the way I edit haha

I play ArmA alot, but never really thought about trying out Exile or anything until I stumbled across this video in my recommended. And I was pleasantly surprised to have a really well-made and straight to the point tutorial that I wish every other tutorial on youtube was modeled after. Just installed and now playing Exile for the first time since I got this game ages ago. Thanks for your help man! (P.S. that stair death is just so classic arma/dayz shit I actually chuckled when you died.)

Thanks man! Unless they have a sale I don't know about, Arma 3 itself is a paid game. The DLC aren't necessary, but some servers may use their guns/kit which will put an annoying watermark on your screen if you use them.

You had your gear back because Crazy Mike rolled back the server from 64 bit to 32 bit and it reset the database

Arma 3 didn't really pan out for DayZ modding. I'd recommend either checking out Arma 2 or biting the bullet and playing Standalone, it has really great mods being made!

Mods are created by individual users by editing and creating custom files. Mod creators are not often paid for their creations and do not have the resources of AAA publishing companies, so no CDs. When it comes to installing mods, you pretty much have to follow the instructions and hope for the best. Trust me, this launcher makes modding much easier than manual installations.
When I'm trying to join awg servers, there is a window that says: Mod Update. The following mods may need validating/uptading: Exile. Do you still want to join the server? please help ;v
Go into the mods tab and click verify on Exile :)
there's no exile in mods for me ;v btw. how do i open with one click a options menu and i can fast change a render distance etc?
Are you asking for the configure menu? If you press escape when you're in game and click configure in the bottom left you can change your graphics settings

The DLC are used commonly on modded servers yes. Some servers will not need any DLC however. It is up to the discretion of the server owner.

The servers are mostly minimal, especially with the Chernarus 2035 map, they make it run pretty smoothly :D

Well unfortunately the most popular server with that map just recently went down, there's a slower hardcore version of it on the Australian server: [BH] Dayz Experience. but there aren't many people that play on that server :)

No, but depending on the server you may not be able to use some of the weapons/items

i was hoping to actually get into it, as i had known about the arma 2 mod, and knew all about it, and it looked fun, but now that i have a pc that can consistently play at high fps on it all the community died out.

I don’t think anyone really plays the arma 2 dayz mod I think most people playing the older dayz are playing dayz stand-alone…. I just got it and tons of people on some of the servers
I want to try this arma 3 dayz mod but I don’t know if I will buy arma3 just for that it looks way better than standalone dayz hopefully they make a new standalone dayz on a really good modern game engine…

Mods are always going to be a little less than straight-forward when it comes to installing, than typical standalone games.
