This is not necessary! The weight of the gate is on the wheel. The gate is about 300-400kg. The wheel is plastic coated metal. The wheel never slipped. Snow and ice were no obstacle.

If I call it to open it goes open, but how can I close the (gate)

With Remote control. Pressing one of the buttons will open it. If I press the button of the other then it will close.
