The driver is Conrad Grunewald, who won Formula Drift in 2011 at Wall Speedway. With the amount of Ferrari posts on his Instagram, I'd guess he has a partnership with Ferrari to be able to drive their cars.
The lap time is about 1m48s (lap start at 1:30, finish at 3:18), which is basically the same as MotoGP bikes. Whether that's fast enough or not for a 1,000 bhp track car, I'll leave to you to judge.

@@Liander88 Cars can brake later on turns that alongside with faster corner speed gives them advantage over motorcycles on tracks, turns are where cars Win period. But on the straights, motorcycles acelleration, power to weight ratio are a sick match to cars. Even F1 cars cant manage to beat a Motogp at this scenario. I dont even know if they can match a 1000cc production bike. My bet they cant.

You are right, but also have to have in count some important points like "setup" which hasn' t been set in this car, this driver wasn't running the car with traction control...just those factors slow the car like at least 3 seconds if not more; and if you are comparing it with those Gt3 cars of 2019 (this fxx k is from 2015 ) also have much more advantage in evolution (4 years )
this guys is undoubtely good at what he's doing, but I still find unbelievable that as buyer of FXX K program you "just" need a couple of millions and you can throw yourself at 300 kmh... I mean, for sure there will be some sort of training included, but still...
I don't really get the appeal of cars like this (ie super expensive track day cars). I mean sure they are super impressive on a technical level but I think there are far better options for way less money that will give you a much more enjoyable experience (Caterham, Radical...). But hey maybe if you have the money for a FXX K you already own those other cars as well...
When you have this kind of money, it’s the prestige more than anything. The Corse Clienti is one of the most elite owners groups most auto enthusiasts can only dream of being a part of.
