What is that phantom appearing about 0.52?
Hi Doctor Freilich,
Is there any way I could get hold of some EMG recordings? I am interested in the nature of this sound. I was wondering what the sampling rate of a typical recording is? I read somewhere that a 50kHz sampling rate recording would be downsampled to 4kHz afterwards.
Apart from curiosity, I would potentially use them in a short film, I am a composer myself.
Thank you
Hi Paul, interesting questions. My Deymed system does indeed sample at 50kHz and will process the signals at that level. I also use a Dantec Medical system that will do 100kHz too. In terms of eventual sound-card playback, you're right about the 'downsampling' and mine is set to 24bit 4.8kHz.
I'm not aware of any system that stores EMG signals as wav / flac / aiff or other similar 'standard' sound file types. All a bit specialised in terms of file types and so you'd have to record them again from a stored play back (or live) sound to use them for your sorts of purposes. Hope that helps and best wishes, Simon
Great work
Hello! I haven't received my technical results yet, however I learned that CIPRO, quite by accident, can cause a severe Neuropathy that affects the nerves and can cause muscle deterioration. Apparently this is a side effect that wasn't listed, although the Pharmaceutical company knew that it was possible. I have had many problems with allergies over the years leading to Bronchitis and I have taken CIPRO many times! Have you heard of this? I have my appointments at the end of the month. At this time I am getting my medical records in case this is a possible cause for me. 😢😻??
Hi Cat, there are lots of medications that can cause issues, and its both hard to comment and to prove causation. First thing is to get a copy of the NCS findings! Bw Simon
Good work 👏
Thanks
May Allah bless you
Go on
