    Using the open-ended wrench and the impact at the same time is a genius tip. That rear lower control arm bolt was giving me so much trouble because it wouldn’t come out. Thanks guys!

    Holy moly. Your control arms and brake calipers are rusted as hell. Just giving you guys future mod ideas ; ))). Good job on the install!. Oh god. The stock ride height looks so bad. I don't know how I put up with it for as long as I did lol

    Did you need a camber kit for alignment.?

    • @thes2kguys
      @thes2kguys  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on what wheel&tire setup you are going to be running. Both of our s2k’s are running 17x9+45. Seems to be the most common size for our cars without having to do extensive fitment adjustments. With minor fender roll (front &rear) you wont need much camber. Oem allows about -3 degrees camber front and rear. If you need more, then will either have to do offset balljoints or get adjustable upper control arms.

    Can u make a follow up video of you driving hard and regular Daily driving .with review . Can’t decide weather to get the gt’s the sp, or the new S models

    • @thes2kguys
      @thes2kguys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      for sure! we will be doing a comparison of the HKS S vs HKS SP. To answer you question here and now, the HKS S are definitely the route you wanna go. they are 10k spring rate squared vs the SP's which are 16k spring rate squared. The HKS GT's are 8k front and 7k rear, so in short the HKS "S" are probably your best bet because the spring rate is right in the middle! They have also improved the "S" in a lot of areas. If you have any more questions feel free to msg us on Facebook @ facebook.com/thes2kguys or DM on IG @thes2kguys!

    No torque wrench?!?! These are vital suspension components, you should preload the suspension bushings then torque all the bolts to factory spec…

  • @russelloppenheimer3970
    @russelloppenheimer3970 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    OMG, you never clocked the bushings! Extremely unprofessional. Botch job. The bushings lifespan has just been reduced by an extreme amount.
    Meanwhile cars handling will be impacted due to excessive bushing bind caused by overstressed, overstretched bushings.
    You also made the job harder by not loosening all bushings first, which you'd do as part of clocking.
    Sadest part of this is you're otherwise knowledgeable, experienced, and quite competent. Others listen to and follow you for advice, and you're doing them all a huge disservice. Not to mention whoevers car this is wasn't done right.

      Omg you look so stupid lol
      didn't you see the jack under the control arm so the weight of the car was on the suspension
      And the lower control arm bolt are used for camber/caster adjustment and would have likely changed the alignment and s2000 are especially sensitive to alignment changes

    I have an 05 S2K I am smelling a strong gas smell near left rear wheel well I believe my evap system is malfunctioning. Do you guys have any insight into what is causing this. Help please.

      is the check engine light illuminated? If so, what are the codes/pending codes? is the fuel cap fully secured? Check the fuel cap seal to make sure it's not torn/ripped.

    • @racing7m
      @racing7m ปีที่แล้ว

      No check engine light no visual fuel leak. Smell is coming from evap canister location but don’t know where it’s coming from. Only smell the fumes when hot outside.

    • @racing7m
      @racing7m ปีที่แล้ว

      My fuel filler cap is brand new just replaced and still the smell of gas remains. Only when it’s hot outside do I smell the fumes.

    • @thes2kguys
      @thes2kguys  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@racing7m have you inspected all lines/hoses/fittings that connect to the charcoal canister? Inspected fuel filler neck as well? Typically if you smell fuel vapors, would indicate a leak somewhere. And would typically cause an evap code to occur.
