    Amazing video!. Classes are very good to make your code more efficient and better looking for other developers to understand it. Variables also can be used under the class name and it's better because you can access it in every function, it's good to use that method if your variable will change constantly.

      Absolutely! I'm gonna have to mention it in the next OOP video...
      this should have been the third solution to the scope issues! 😉

      i had the same experience
      took her like 40 seconds to illustrate how "self." is paired with the instance you make
      idk why tf the other explanations i read elsewhere made it harder to understand than this lol

    • @PythonSimplified
      @PythonSimplified  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      hahahaha thank you Siam! 😀
      Calling it a keyword is quite misleading... it's a parameter that apparently can have any other name - not just "self"! (even though everybody is using "self" by convention as if it was a keyword - that's why it's so confusing, and I didn't want to confuse you guys too! 😉)
      It's a big responsibility to share knowledge with so many lovely people - I can't say incorrect stuff anymore! 🤣

    Just a little advice if I may. When we use the word 'attribute' as a noun, we stress the first syllable (i.e. 'attribute). We stress the second syllable when the word is used as a verb (i.e. at'tribute.

      Thank you so much Martin! I'm super happy you liked my explanation! 😀
      I'll be posting new episodes in the "Python Basics Series" here and then, and adding each new tutorial to a playlist which will eventually organize all this information chronologically 😉
      For now, I'm focusing on concepts that will make my other tutorials easier, that's why these videos don't come in a specific order just yet... so yes to your question! that's definitely what I'm aiming to do here on TH-cam 😊
      Thanks again for suggesting and cheers from Canada! 🍁
