    Thank YOU so much! Im finishing my Signals Lab right now (Due tomorrow) and could not find a way to do it until I saw this!

    my first lesson in control systems.
    very helpfull.
    thanks a lot.

    Why didn't the instructors of control systems explain in this simple practical way!!
    Good job and thanks a lot shortening a refresh on what i really like to know for years practically. keep on similar examples and go for more complicated ones the same way.

    Thank you for your explanation Jake. But, I do not get it why the cos element of equation replaced with sin at 4:22. Just a typo ? Cheers!

      Yes, that's a mistake on my part. I have no idea how that happened. Thanks for pointing it out.

      @@jakeblanchard Wow! that was a quick reply. I did not expect that after 11 years already passed. Thanks alot. Happy&healthy 2021.

    Then you can just skip the box labeled cos and keep one of the gain triangles. That should be all you need.

    I thought solving a differential equation meant finding a function that satisfies the equation, but yo do not.. so, are you actually using simulink for solving the ode, or are you just simulating it?

    How do you look at the output? To me the signal that goes to the scope looks like the output, so X?

    • @jakeblanchard
      @jakeblanchard  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The "Scope" will show a plot of x vs time. Just double click it.

    Hi i want to know how to solve a graph in simulink and using integration to calculate the area.... please help... Thank you in advance

    what if the forcing function is just a constant?

    Thank you sir. But what is x(0) = 1???

    • @jakeblanchard
      @jakeblanchard  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I understand your question. At 2:11, I see x(0)=0, but I don't see x(0)=1 anywhere. x(0)=0 means that at t=0, x should have a value of 0. This is an initial condition and is part of the original problem statement.

    Missing the part where you show how to setup the Integrators. Without it won't work...

      Initial conditions are mentioned at about the 6:30 mark of the video.
