Ive already played the whole campaign but watching this video and now going back through it on a full lore playthrough really helps me understand the story
I was looking for many story summaries, and this is the best one I could find. The right combination of narrative, cutscenes, and gameplay footage. Awesome!
After playing Diablo 4 and really loving the story I wanted to see if 3 was really as bad as I remember it. Thank you kind storyteller for saving me the trouble of experiencing this horrible story again. You did a great job.🎉

Thank you for posting this with wonderful narration. I played through D3 and couldn't remember why I forgot the story. It was because it was a terrible plot with forgettable characters. But at least this video filled in the gaps. Appreciate your efforts.
Diablo 3 story in a nutshell, you basically fight like 3-4 antagonists until the angel of death appears for some reason and becomes a prime evil.... Then you kill him too 🤷
Wait... I'm confused tho cause how is it forever if demons just like respawn in hell? Like I thought the whole thing with the three prime evils soul stones were destroyed on the hell forage which actually destroyed them.. like some onw please explain?
am i the only one that thinks female diablo looks amazing... looks more geiger Alien esque.. rather than just a buff body builder.. and looks more demonic
I played Diablo 3 first before I played the superior Diablo 2 many many years later. So I have no bias when I say Diablo 3 Diablo is my favorite version. He’s the prime evil of TERROR and should look more SCARY than buff (although buff Diablo is still scary) and maybe if he was the prime evil of destruction, hatred, or something else I would agree with the D2 fanboys but I think his design in D3 is perfect for his lore and who he is.
Being a big fan of D1 and D2 as a kid, I'm playing D4 and loving it too. When D3 came out it jsut didn't look like a diablo game so I skipped it. Watching now to catch up with the D4 story, how bad and lazy the cut scenes and writing are, I'm so glad I never bothered with D3
7:10 this couldn't be written worse. Who talks like that?! She might aswel litterately say "hello, I'm a villain and I take my time to form a illusion of me to tell you what is happening right now." Why should she appear like that anyways? It just feels like a child wrote this.
For some reason I skipped playing Diablo in my childhood. While explaining Darksiders to my friend, he told me that I would love Diablo as well. I thought the graphics of Diablo 1 and 2 would bug me, so I skipped those games. I did read and researched the lore. I played and finished Diablo 3 just now. I loved it. I don't really know why people hate it so much.
These are by far the best cutscenes and storyline in Diablo history. They should have had Leah kill Cain. Period. They missed out. The story went from an A+ to a B, tops at that point.
nice video but I love RPG but when i play diablo 3 theres alot left to be wanted. Very disappointed and unsatisfied. Look at divinity 2 or baldurs gate 3 so much better.
Those are different games. Divinity Original Sin 2 and Baldurs gate 3 are tactical turned based RPGs while Diablo 3 is an action role playing game. That said, DOS2 and BG3 are vastly superior games you are right.
@@Mysteryboy0007 yes and I was saying for me I get a much different experience out of a story rich RPG over of a mainly combat focused RPG so when compared I’m always left wanting. I would have compared D3 to Path of Exile. When I played vanilla D3 in summer 2013, then played alpha POE from 2013 release all the way up to Reaper of Souls release…. I’d say there was A LOT left to be wanted 😂

Basically the soulstone is like the ghostbusters trap.
They could make a spin off with ghostbusters going around sanctuary, or at least a new class.
