    I'm watching this nearly a year after it was published and I find myself concerned if Mr. Knobs' finger is okay now. To your health, Sir Knobs! I just got my Blooper and I love it. :)

    I'm a bit confused. When I see the trimmer being used here I notice it shortens the overall length of the recording. In other words, the red rings around the modifier buttons flash indicating the loop has run its total length. On my Blooper, even if I shorten the loop with Trimmer, the recording length of the loop stays exactly the same as when I started. Is this a setting I can change somehow?

    The scrambler is fab! But the filter modifier is very useful, as so often happens when playing over loops, the eq of your current guitar signal masks and is masked by the loop foundation. The filter is yet another useful way to hear a distinction between all the parts.

    I love love love knobs and am so happy he got to make his dream pedal come true but lets be real about who the real hero is here. Joel and Chase Bliss are doing some of the coolest, most innovative and open-minded shit in modern music and sound design. True artists in it for the soul of it.

    Can blooper take synth signals? And other line level sources, for instance from an output on the sound interface to use looper with my laptop.

    Question: So the Smooth Stop Modifier also has a reverse feature?... witch is implemented by turning the knob to noon and the to the left? Last time you turned that knob left, it slowed down the loop (tape stop)... but then once its at noon again and you turn it back to the left... its now in reverse...am I missing a step? Also...Your playing, the way you narrate your videos, and Blooper itself, all have similar characters... in a good way... no, in an ingenious way!

    • @Knobs
      @Knobs 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, both of the speed modifiers go in reverse. Everything counter-clockwise of noon is reverse.

      @@ChaseBlissAudio When during the development did this change? I remember some press releases stated it will be stereo. That's a real bummer, since tape recording style effects should really live at the end of the chain...

    • @ChaseBlissAudio

      Jaard Hauschildt - it was never advertised as stereo. My motherboard platform makes that impossible so I never even would’ve teased it as a possibility in this platform

      @ChaseBlissAudio I own 4 of your pedals ( mood, habit thermae, blooper) which I really enjoy. What I miss in all of them is an fx loop( send return). Maybe something to consider in future releases, as it would be fun to add ,let's say lossy just on the repeats of the the thermae. I m aware that space is an issue but I believe that the cv/ expression input could be used with a stereo y cable to achieve this. Thank you.

    Forgive me if I'm missing something. But, does anyone know how to add a modifier just to the latest layer, rather than the whole loop? I used to like getting a backwards or sped up track on my old looper by changing the time or speed, recording, and then changing back to the normal loop with an effected layer. Is the Blooper too complex for that, or am I just missing it?

    • @Jay-tr7ue

      They mentioned this in the previous video and here in the faq: blooper.chaseblissaudio.com/faq
      In essence, you can't treat a layer as an individual item. It'll include itself and the layers beneath it.

      @@ItsThatJahncke2 Yes. Think of it as just 1 loop, up to 32s. The other 7 are overdubbed on top of that. You can also just leave it in recording mode and get infinite overdubs, but then they're all 'printed' onto the loop and you cant undo or separate any layers.
