    The Wave Horizon 6 felt great out of the box & feels even better after a few weeks in rotation, I also have the Guide 16 & Vongo V5 that are just as awesome with slight differences, all 3 are data driven models that won't let you down.

    I'll only been wearing mizuno since 2017 when I bought the first ever pair of Mizuno

    Looks like this should be good for clydesdales, no? I wear a 15 wide and love the WaveKnit Sky 3 for standing/walking/running around all day on shift at the hospital. I just don't run in mine because I prefer the resilience of expanded TPU and pebax foams like from Saucony. Wish Mizuno would drop U4ic and bring more advanced foams to market, especially at that price.

      For sure worth considering. We are not sure what the Enerzy Core is but I feel it may be a supercritical foam. This shoe is advanced! What shoes do you wear now at the hospital?

      @@samwinebaum My work rotation is Miz Wave Sky 3, Sauc Triumph 18, Echelon 6, and Asics Fortitude 7. I run in the Triumph 18s and used to run the Triumph Iso 5 before the soles literally broke in half at the forefoot. 😅 It's tough being big while needing neutral runners. Love your channel +sub

      @@Omnis2 Thanks! Given those Horizon 6 worth a close look. For sure more fun to actually run!

      Omnis, thanks - laughed at your impressive wit! A giant, expensive and heavy shoe. What could go wrong?

      Can confirm as a Clydesdale. This is a dream to run in

    I love the weight of the shoe bc I don’t run. I am building up strength since two knee surgeries and hip stability and need the extra weight. I am trying to fix my overpronation and the horizon 4 helped me more than the ASICS Kayano 22 my favorite until Mizuno! Thanks for the great review, will be trying these!!

      Thanks! Def worth trying giving your knees and hips and the ride unlike most pronation control shoes is not rough and boring

    I'm 6'3 and 175. Definitely not a Clydesdale, but I do love these shoes! At first they feel a little flat, but you have to give them a few miles, then they're great

    Mizuno know a LOT about wave technology ... and plates

    Thx for the great reviews. How do you compare the Wave to the Tempus? Which is best for stability?

    • @RoadTrailRun
      @RoadTrailRun  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Which Wave? If Mizuno Wave it generally but not always (see our Horizon 6 video) is a plastic plate but a more horizontal one. Generally all Mizuno have very good support. The support in Tempus will tend to be more gentle but effective none the less for sure.

    Are these wider in the toe box than the Horizon 4 or 5? I really need a wide and see they offer this in the 6! Thanks!!

    At the very start (0:05) you say it's for neutral runners. But at 6:26 you say it's for runners who "really need the pronation control".
    Now I am confused. Which is right? Is it for runners who do overpronate or not?

    • @RoadTrailRun
      @RoadTrailRun  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is called out for some pronation control but it also worked for our neutral testers. BTW we have over 30 contributors of all ages and abilities and literally none regularly run in pronation control shoes

    The tongue has no sleeve to fixate the position. During running the tongue will slide. Furthermore, the laces are too long with is unpractical.

      Sorry never ran a prior Horizon but imagine this is far more evolved in terms of ride quality.

    RTR offers some of the best reviews except when it comes to stability shoes. I’m a lifelong endurance athlete and in the last two months have landed in stability shoes out of medical necessity. A more nuanced understanding of which stability shoes fulfil which subset of stability needs and why that’s important would lend some credibility to reviews of these specific shoes. As it stands, they ignore the differences in physiology and biomechanics that impart different, specific needs with a shoe.
    As they are currently, stability reviews on RTR amount to “We don’t need stability shoes, but we will review this one anyway. Stability shoes suck. We don’t like them. Did we mention we don’t need them or really understand them? Did we mention our crazy fast PB’s? Anyway this stability shoe is as close to a neutral shoe as I can tolerate, so maybe it’s okay. Good luck with it. I’m pulling on my endorphins again and heading out.”

      Unfortunately that’s what a lot of running shoe channels are these days. It’s super frustrating.
