All the above and below-line people were invited to bring their children to the set and this was the result; a visual document of how many people and how many families worked together to produce what was then one of the best shows on TV.
Oh, for the good old days, when television producers were not afraid of Christmas. What a wonderful and sweet way to end a Christmas episode! Thanks for posting.
For those of us who watched soap operas back in the day, this is a familiar sight. But for a prime time show to do it is pretty unusual. It’s a great episode and this ending is a lovely gem in tv history.
my bro used to tape this and watch it on a saturday morning. i think it aired on a monday night back then. excellent and timeless programme. thanks maddie and dave.
Ahh the days when you could actually say "Merry Christmas" without fear of outrage from the PC brigade and before having it replaced with the robotic and insincere "Have a great holiday season".

I've got the entire series on DVD and watch this episode every December. Love it so much!!!
Only the writers of Moonlighting would envisage and materialise such a great and touching ending to a Christmas episode...!
