- Wassup guys , the G37 is getting ready to put down some serious vq number. Tune in for the build. After installing the cold air intakes I didnt notice a power difference besides a noticeable low end torque between 1k -4k rpm.

Just wanted to say thank you, and also give a FYI tip for the future. Those little tabs on the MAF sensor, if they are in a hard to reach spot, if you slide a 12mm Socket over them, they come right out without fighting with them. Just if you ever need to get one off in a bad spot. Thanks again for the video.

this was a great video I will be ordering this kit for my G37x sedan, and not to worry the 370 and g37 rock the same motor that's why the literature on everything said 370z

You installed the down pipes from the throttle plates backwards
370z instructions because it's the same VQ motor regardless of the body style.. so the fitment will still be the same😎

I knew that before I brought the car , main reason as to why I brought it. I was worried bc they have different front end
Maaan as sick as they are and look, I’d be scared of water and moisture entering the engine. I haven’t really examined my bumper on the g37 but is it pretty secured? If you already mentioned it in the video, my apologies I skipped to the end for final finish and sound. Sounds amazing and looks even better!
I’m buying these soon, I just wanted to see how easy the installation was. Why would you be concerned about water or moisture entering the engine?
@@deserttan37 water in the intake could cause your engine to get water locked
I’d recommend getting a wrap for the intake I drive the car as a daily driver during the winter with a wrap you can find online and have zero problems
I think you have to take out another piece where the intake goes through that tight spot

@@Jeremy_boi would you recommend this type of intake over drop in performance filters? Through research it seems like it doesn’t do much. Apparently those k&n filters give a decent return for just a 100$. What’s your opinion?
Actually Z1 still make more power then the Stillen !!! Stillen intakes on a g suck
If the intake it’s in the front grill , what ever the rain wouldn’t it suck in water and hydro lock?
They sell filter covers for rainy conditions. I drove with them in the rain plenty of times but I wouldn't recommend it tho
It's not an issue the stock air boxes pull air from the same place anyways basically this kit relocates the filters

Tell me because I just ordered the z1 cold air intakes. How many hp and torque you would say you gain if running on a stock exhaust. Let's say the G at 330 now with the z1 how much
It is said to add around 15-20 hp
Look on z1 vid they did a untuned dyno and a tuned dyno the untuned got 23 whp and the tuned got 35whp

@@nelsonortiz9909 In the vid he had test pipes only and he dyno before the intake and after before the 370 with test pipes made 300 whp and then they put in the z1 intake with the test pipes and made 324 whp untuned
Could you have not just installed the intakes without removing the bumper it looks like you had plenty of access when you removed the radiator top splash guard

Through the bumper? You shouldn't have any water unless u have holes in that part of the bumper...or drive thru a pool, u can always get hydro sheilds

@@saved1777 idk if an ecu resets itself I just did some cleaning on my maf sensors and throttle body’s and I had to reprogram the ecu

370z parts fit G37. 350z parts fit G35
I do think the cold air setuo on these cars is pretty nice but even after driving one id never want to daily drive them, all that pwr isnt effective until you get to 65mph at least. Little turbo 4 cylinders are the way to go these days
Disagree it’s much more fun to daily a 6 banger. I would never go back to a 4 banger
I love mine as a daily lol my friend has a brand new WRX and was impressed how much zippier mine was
Maf is not supposed to face down its supposed to face up.
Instructions from Z1 tell you the MAF faces down with their kit.

Paint cost way more than it would cost to get intakes
