Agree for you to introduce diving, Hints. Maybe D, you should also add a bit of yoga to your videos. Amazing how clean some towns are. I'm so glad that you are in a cat and restricted from sailing the rough seas that we had to 😂. It's always interesting to watch your videos. You try to cover as much as possible, of many different aspects of the towns that you visit ❤
Hi Gem... Weather perfect there. SA... WC & more experiencing what many other countries have battled... flooding & fires. Nature dictating! Lovely sea & this area really lived in & clean. Definitely introduce diving... And if long enough in one place perhaps... teach! Food divine... Must include food section both on shore & galley produced. Biltong meat & dried fish... A must.. Fish, gut, braai, eat & one day technology will transport to viewers🐟😋 A lovely video.. Both getting tanned! 🐙🐠🍤👌
Thanks as always for the comments 😊 I'm looking at hopefully doing catch and cooks, scuba and a couple of other ideas are stirring around. Let's see what happens! ❤️⛵️💎
I think what would be really helpful would be more info on the places you visit, ie is it good anchoring, facilities available, where to avoid, and a plan showing exactly where these places are! Cheers and keep up the good work.
Thanks very much for your comment and the suggestions! We'll definitely begin to include such information and details! I'm currently learning how to plot our trips on a map and show where we are and where we're heading. Really appreciate the feedback, and we'll take it into account for sure 🙏🏼⛵️💎
I have been trawling a line here in the Ionian since April, changing lures different speeds with no luck. I will be interested to see how you get on. Enjoy the Ionian and if we see you I will shout hi. Sailing yacht Alchemia.
We've also been mixing things up during the season, without much luck. One thing is certain- without a line in the water, we won't catch a thing, haha! I think some vertical jigging and trolling around the Southern Islands should produce something, hopefully! We'll keep an eye out for you guys also!
Hi Steve. The Delta 2 Max is serving us very well. We use it on the overcast days where we need to conserve our boats leisure/house batteries, or for the coffee machine and power tools and also use it to power the Ecoflow Wave 2 portable aircon which is awesome for us as it works on 12v/220v and is powerful enough to cool our cabin during the day, and the whole boat during the evenings. Definitely they are some great piece of equipment. I'll be doing a dedicated video regarding the EF products at some point. Thanks for your questions! 👌🏽⛵️💎
I would like to know more about the gemini boat- thinking abut getting one. how it sails, what speed in what wind speeds at what angle to wind. Interested in light wind performance, saving weight will she sail better. I would like an all electric catamaran.
Hey Steve. In my opinion, the Geminis sail well. We have an in mast furling system that makes life easier and assists in single-handed sailing if we need to. Typically we can easily achieve 50-65% of wind speed, and we are very conservative, so likely you could manage to get more speed. We have the screecher option which is a light wind sail and performs beautifully. We use it in winds of up to 15knts, after which we change to the genoa. Definitely by keeping the boat light and sailing with half water tanks and not much unnecessary weight you'll get some more speed and likely bridgedeck clearance, resulting in less hull slapping. An all electric vessel would be cool, and the Gemini could be a good candidate for an electric conversion! Check out Hop Yachts, a South African built all electric catamaran. It looks like a cool little boat, but not something you'd want to face too much weather in. I was aboard the prototype in Greece a few days ago, I was impressed, but not convinced. I'd like to sail it though! Where are you based? Geminis are rare in EU but readily available in the USA. Good luck with your search! Give me an email on sailingcatgem@gmail.com, and I'll give you any further info about Gem if you'd like! Cheers 🫡💎⛵️
Yip, the food looks yummy 😋
Fishing and scuba diving being added to the line up would be unreal! 👌
Cheers buddy! Hopefully we can have it sorted by next season 😉
