As someone who doesn't listen to much of this music anymore because it's all the same, this is actually sick. It's not too much different but those vocals and some of the melodic guitar parts...they just do it right.
EXACTLY
I went to a show when I was like 14 and saw FTFD. This was before Dylan was vocalist. Before they played, Chad was chilling by his merch table and I bought a shirt from him. He was so thankful and appreciative it made me feel great.
Then another bands merch guy at the table next to us said that if I buy a shirt from them too, I could go get drunk and high with their band after the show. Then Chad looked at me and said "You don't need that shit, man. Be smart."
I smiled and told the dude no thanks. Not that I was going to go anyways. But the fact that Chad said that to me shows that he is a good guy with a great heart.
Mega respect for him. Glad he's back with FTFD.
This genre of music and band pulled me through the toughest times of my life.
It's such a huge privilege too have chad as a very close family friend.

This album is were I think the band really hit the sweet spot of their sound. It mostly leaned on the heaviness mixed with chads beastly layered vocals juxtaposed with melodic guitar lines. It was also produced flawlessly were everything sounded crisp and full as fuck

I know Rise pretty well, they always love picking the weakest/less creative songs off an album, that's a pretty tricky marketing strategy. However i enjoy this more than Substance, Strange Faces and anything done without Andrew. Pretty excited to hear the rest! Andre Bourbeau exactly, like was going to pre-order the white vinyl today, but when i saw that the shipping to my country was like 20$ i was so turned off. And the worst thing is that their rates have been increasing horribily through the years. Last time i pre-ordered something on merchnow was Acacia's album DITOM (cd+shirt+poster package) on september/october 2012 and shipping was like 13$
ReprogrammedToHate yeah dude, the rates don't make sense, i just don't find it feasible that shipping a little 12" VINYL costs 20$. what a fucking rip off, and rise refuses to sell merch on other sites for some reason, which is so frustrating.

Dan Coots All of their albums are good, but yes Changes and Relentless are the best. The recording of the last two just made it sound bad in my opinion, still liked them though.

Chads vocals have gotten way better, even since legends last album. The mixing on this is perfect, and you can really hear dl on the guitar. Which is awesome

This is the FTFD that I love. Melodic verses, low/powerful vocals, and groovy riffs. Richter is a great vocalist, but I prefer what the band does with Chad on vocals.

This isnt generic... They are one of the creators of this sound and this is how it should have stayed. There is no singing about driving down a road or some bullshit, this song rules and I like how they're sticking to their original sound. I give it a 7/10.
