I watched this video, went "oooohhh", opened the game, went into a random room and immediately found one. I've been getting spooked by those crashes this whole time just thinking they were an entirely random sound
Also might be useful to maybe briefly show that while people may already know how to bark/meow, there is also alt or ctrl + G, as well as K, and /wag in chat for other ways to express yourself
Patient lure can be simulated by just opening your chat before you catch something. It'll wait for you to close the chat for about a minute-ish? before the Fish gets hooked
unlike the patient lure though it actually will fail after some time, I think you said that at the end but wasn't sure. Just make sure not to rely on it lol.

My friend discovered something very interesting about the meteors/found a method to get meteors very quickly, completely bypassing the ~42 minute wait time. If you go into an offline game, and slowly bounce on the mushroom over and over again at the lake (the one closest to spawn), meteors spawn like every 5 minutes or so. I don't really know how this works, but I caught sooooo many UFO's doing this. (i was trying to get radiant for the gold rod). If you don't believe me, try it for yourself
when the game said to press any button, I did and my pc shutdown. instructions unclear. it probably has something to do with the peanuts i placed in the power supply
Warning, when fishing for the ufo fish dont use salty lure. I saw people throwing their rod to the meteor and catching an ocean fish. I'm not sure if the freshwater would do the same thing.

I think it’s because the tier of the fish directly increases the price of the catch, so increasing the odds of getting higher tier fish is the most effective way of making money.
3:15 could you elaborate on how you got that number? I calculated it myself and i got 0.114. 0.06 base chance, 10% from rain, 10% from reeling, 10% from t5 rod chance, 30% from attractive lure, 30% from cola. 0.06x1.9=0.114
The number is calculated in steps: 1. base_chance = 0.06 2. fish_chance = base_chance 3. fish_chance = base_chance + (base_chance x rod_chance), so for t5 fish_chance = 0.06 + (0.06 x 0.1) = 0.066 4. multiply by 1.1 for recent reel: fish_chance = 0.066 x 1.1 = 0.0726 5. multiply by 1.1 again for raining: fish_chance = 0.0726 x 1.1 = 0.07986 6. multiply by 1.3 for attractive lure: fish_chance = 0.07986 x 1.3 = 0.103818 7. multiply by 1.3 for catch cola boost: fish_chance = 0.103818 x 1.3 = 0.1349634

honestly in my experience larger lure is better for making money, i made like $5k in the same amount of time as i made like less than $3k with the sparkling lure and more bait as well

I can't find anything on how it much more money it generates. while the double hook will always generate at least 15% more money on average which is 3 times more than the lucky hook. It's hard to determine how much value the sparkling lure generates because there you'd have to know how much money the higher tiers are worth than the lower one's on average, and the chance average chance increase across all fish in each respective tier.
I left my game running overnight with an afk fishing mod on it and I'm STILL missing a few in the saltwater category where I fished. Didn't even get any rain-specific fish. I think my luck might just be doodoo cuz I'm using squids as bait
It doesn’t matter what the prefix is (ie: microscopic), the game will choose the fish that is larger in physical size. If the game had to choose between a fish that was 100cm or a fish that was 50cm, the game would choose the 100cm fish. Tbh I probably could have made the size difference more apparent in the video.
i WAS having fun with this game and relaxing until it turned into the most hair-ripping, teeth gritting, stressful nightmare. all my progress has been permanently deleted because steam cloud saves fucked up, and now i can't play without my progress being reset every single time i close and reopen the game. this is happening with EVERY GAME IN MY LIBRARY NOW. steam support hasnt responded to my emails for 2 WEEKS.
I've been seeing a lot of people complaining about similar steam cloud issues recently. I have no clue what the cause would be but I really hope it gets resolved for everyone soon, I cant imagine how frustrating having to deal with this is.
@@D4rkayn there is a sort-of-but-not-really solution for this. there's a save editor for webfishing, luckily i remember basically all the items i got and how much money, just not which fish i caught.
As of right now there's only 2 bucket hats, and you get both of them from quests. You get the tan bucket hat from catching 2 gars and the green bucket hat from catching 2 alligators.
Challenge lure will technically make you more money if you're using it correctly, but I don't think it makes enough more than the lucky hook to be worth the stress. Its honestly just up to which one you prefer. If you're looking for money-per-catch I recommend just using a soda + whatever lure you like the most.

I remember having my sound audio maxed out just to hear a meteor, it worked cause I got it after I heard an explosion.
I had to do this for 4 hours just to get a clean recording, the meteor could really benefit from a screen shake when it lands or something

15% rod power is odd cause when i got quick jig i had 10 power and it was doing 13 per click
