    Hellooo guys! Thanks for all your supportive and nice comments as always! It's really a pleasure to read your comments!
    Because of how many there, to keep my sanity I cannot respond to everybody, but in the first few days, under each video, I try to read every one of them! Just know they are all super appreciated 🤘❤

    I am 50 yrs old and I have seen a lot of the great bands in my time but NW is on a different level . In my opinion they are the greatest band in the world . I saw the great Freddie Mercury and Queen when I was 9 yrs old with my moms and pops for my first concert . This is the first band that I have seen since than that I can say they took the torch and ran with it .

      In a recent interview with Floor she was asked who would she like to sing with from ANYBODY across time, she instantly responded with Freddie Mercury. You'd expect when asked this question for a singer to think about it more, but so many just know Mercury was the GOAT.

    Wow a great reaction and even better evaluation. I learned about lower registry and just how effortless she sounds despite the song itself. The song is much like the band going into and out of different sounds effortlessly and they are so tight that you truly forget that this is a LIVE performance. Tuomas has to be thrilled at how a lot of the older songs are getting the updated 2.0 Floor version treatment. This concert performance was the rare experience where each and every member of the band were in perfect sync with their A+ game and the crowd responded to every note and every display from the stage. Thanks for another great response, so happy you decided to do this as they are really well worth time for some real fan reactions as well as some real great explanation from the professional side!!!

      Hey thanks! Super happy you apreciated my take on that one! :D
      It it true that they are extremely tight, they almost sound like a produced recording right out of the live performance, it's incredible! They also have so much experience to back themselves up!

      EXACTLYYYYYY
      To me high notes are not the most impressive! God sound and consistency and resonnance in the core range is sooooo overlooked, as well as the low range!!!
      High notes are like candies, they are good but they are not the main course!

    Floor can hit those low notes because she is hugely tall and her vocal cords will be long in proportion. The highest part of her range is clearly a product of training and technique. And lets not forget Marco who also has immense vocal power and is a perfect complement to her sound. And as for the band - could they be any tighter rhythmically? Even the joker Emppu, for all his fun and kidding with the audience never misses a beat.

    You might enjoy reacting to Nemo, the version from the vehicle of spirit bonus DVD. It's a little dark at times but there are some really excellent close ups of her singing, where her jaw and mouth movements are very visible. She hits one of those power low notes near the end too, always give me chills.

    Yeah, great Nightwish song again, presented by a great reviewer:-) have to agree with Ann some comments below, one of my favourite Nightwish songs too! @ElvannReacts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Really happy you enjoyed!! :D It IS a great song, really!!
      Yeah no, even if technically I hit them, they sound very weak, I don't have any resonance left there and I don't sound believable, that's just what it is! And it's a physiology thing, not a training thing, in this case! I don't have the system to amplify these notes nicely, they'll always sound weak and dull, they're off my usable range!

  • @dieseldog00
    @dieseldog00 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes Soprano but you can hear she goes down to Alto and possibly even Contralto with that super low note you tried to get to.. Definitely Coloratura, although Floor would not agree b/c she doesn't want her vocal range spoken of in opera terms.

    Floor is typically classified as a dramatic soprano because even thought she has lots of power and resonance in the lower register, she can still sustain high notes with lots of power (such as the seven second D6 she did in Phantom). That said I do think her chest resonance and mixed voice resonance are more mind blowing than her head resonance is, and I think her choices in how she approaches songs reflects her being of a similar opinion.

    If you wanna see her Soprano range, i'd suggest this video --> th-cam.com/video/Od_qcbw3f5Q/w-d-xo.html
    She sings Puccini: O mio babbino caro and it is as good as you already imagine it right nowm the only "complaint" its way too short :)
    The link i provided has subtitles, the song and a bit of interview.
    Ty for the reaction yet again Elvann :D

    Please react to Dimash Kudaibergen - S.O.S Slavic Bazaar th-cam.com/video/W29zEuZVaxs/w-d-xo.html I'm sure you gonna love him. He is 25 year old classical trained (since age 5) singer from kazakhstan. His vocal range is over six octaves and he can sing any genre he wants. Many vocal coaches and professional singers says that he is the best singer in the world tody.

  • @aeldin131

    I could be wrong on this but I think Floor said on an interview that she is not a Soprano or at least she’s not trying to be one (very possible that I misunderstood)
    Also you mentioned the writing ... Much of it is from Walt Whitman’s poem “song of myself”

    If you really want to analyze her classical voice, you need to listen to a piece that was not worked over by a sound engineer, like the "O mio babbino caro" she did for a TV show once.

  • @dieseldog00

    When she touches her low register in the beginning, then hits that high note at the end, it sounds like 4 octaves to me. Do you have a keyboard to confirm my guess? I have relative perfect pitch but not true perfect pitch.

    Ahh... you glanced away from the video and missed the best part. At the end when she refraining that last verse in her high soprano, she times her physical gestures perfectly to give the impression that she is conjuring the flames. Go back and watch again. Just part of her superior showmanship. These live performances are so much better than listening to the studio recordings; the energy is off the charts while the musicianship is every bit as good a the best take in the studio.

    You said it seems like she’s warmed up.
    If I recall correctly, they did this right after “Ghost Love Score”. That’d get you warmed up! Of course it’s been a while since I watched the whole concert so I could be wrong.

    • @sugoruyo
      @sugoruyo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, this was after GLS, they did GLS, this and then Last Ride of the Day as an "encore" type thing. This is about 80 minutes into the show. You can definitely tell she's warming up gradually. Even by Ever Dream, around 20 minutes in she has bits where you can tell. Storytime is the first one where she sounds 100% I think.

      tuomas's progression from cheesey power metal, hey all power metal is cheesey right :), to epic score metal is pretty remarkable. i think getting the likes of kip williams for the orchestrations and troy donkely on the arrangements needs to be acknowledged. further, i think as much as i think the "we miss tarja" can be put to bed, the same should be with kai and jukka. jukka bangs like john bonham but kai has a jazz edge and seems more nimbler on the kit like a bill bruford or phil collins. and marco's vocals are an excellent counterpoint to floor. emppu continues to be tasty.
