Tamara has just spent 8 minutes thanking others; we will spend the next 10 years thanking Tamara for taking a company that really had lost its way on a journey that has taken it to the most wonderful and exciting ballet company in the world. Her legacy will live on in a building that was only possible due to her vision and the support of people like Justin Bickle, but inside that building is a company whose repertoire is inspirational and groundbreaking with wonderful dancers and other staff. In 2012 Tamara’s stated aim was to have a world-class company. At the time we looked at the bottom of that mountain and wondered how she would ever achieve it, yet she has with her vision and hard work, and the support of so many wonderful people. Thank you for taking us on your journey, we have just loved the ride and had our eyes opened. We will miss you Tamara but you have left us with the most wonderful memories. Take care of yourself and your lovely family and we will all keep an eye on the development of San Francisco Ballet. There will always be a place for you in our hearts in England; we have only "lent" you to California but your real place is back here in your adopted home. Angela and David Brinkman

Tamara has done amazing work with this Company and I wish her every success in her new post. Her dancing has given me much pleasure over the years. I always recognised her as soon as she appeared on the stage, she had such grace. After her I watched her wonderful farewell performance for the Royal Ballet in 'Marguerite and Armand' in February 2013, which was of course followed by many curtain calls and bouquets and also a surprise appearance of Carlos Acosta, I saw her only eight days later, in her first season as English National Ballet's Artistic Director, dancing a superb Aurora in 'Sleeping Beauty' in March at The Mayflower, Southampton. The young girls sitting next to me thought that she was wonderful, not knowing how famous she was!
Thank you Tamara, for so many years of wonderful and exiting performances in London. Your passion for such a delicate and powerful dancing, as your inspirational creativity is a gift, it allowed us to dream and feel exited. I loved you in Carmen 2009, La Bayadère, and of course, Romeo & Juliet with Carlos Acosta. Thank you for your online classes during the pandemia lockdown, so nice of you! I saw Raymonda last, a brilliant choreography! Lots of NHS staff there! What next? Best wishes in San Francisco. Hasta pronto 🌺
