Great information Sahil. 'Sood ke khilaf he jang kyun?' This had been my thesis question for many years of my life. As a practicing pro accountant living in the west (CA), I was finally able to find its answer with clarity. Allah willing sometime I will discuss this matter with you in detail, if you want to. How "sood" and "sood ka nizam" have brought this world to this state. Its the mother of all evils. This is the only phenomenon that has the ability to take a person to shirk - quite easily. I've been working on developing ideas/concepts/ways we can avoid sood in this world (where it is virtually impossible). We (people who understand the seriousness and magnitude of this fitna) should declare a jang against sood (literally), or we will have to surrender everything (even imaan) we have. JazaakAllah

The discussion is of a general nature about interest. Interest encompassing two types of interests, namely fixed interest and variable interest. In light of the current economic recession and inflationary pressures, it is imperative to take into account both factors before engaging in any discussion, particularly if one's focus is on financial matters. This is particularly relevant to Islamic banking where individuals may be preoccupied with banking or other pursuits that lack any form of interest however they get same thing but name has change like modarba, musharika etc.

you really should research on mudarba and musarkika. Its a different thing when banks use it for their own ''purpose'' and modify it but in light of Islam, there is no interest or riba involved

I have a question. RIBA according to Quran/Islam is any increase in value. So far my understanding tells me. But at that time dealings were done in gold and silver. Today our fiat currency loses its value over time. Is the interest that banks take to counter inflation really riba? For example: if in 1990: somebody could buy 1 oz gold with 380$ and now the 1 oz gold is worth 2600$. Somebody who lent 380$ in 1990, got back 380$ in 2024 without interest, how can he buy the same oz of gold with it? How do Islamic Ruling on RIBA apply in these times of fiat currency which loses its intrinsic value over time?

@sahil, you are analysing the effects, can you just explain philosophically how this process of interest is such a big threat to human and global system. You have missed the crux of the question. Still I would like to give you a hint: economic growth is indexed to human needs, while in interest system growth is indexed to time, which in unitary theory of time and space is going to cause stricture into time and space in which human and other species exist. Since this system is existential threat, it is called a war against Allah and the prophet, peace be upon him. If Marx can establish such an absurd dialectic to inhumane capitalism, it's a challenge for a true intellectual to bring philosophically the humane capitalism with a clear alternative. If you can do this?

I never doubt your intentions or sincerity towards Islam.. But, i have to say some of your concepts are baseless and you're not open-minded enough to accept that there might be a slight chance of you being ignorant about these concepts or got wrong conclusions out of these Verses and Hadith's (one of the example like portals)... and you're never ready to actually listen to counter narrative properly, even from your own students, and understand your mistake... You simply use your prowess in psychology, and making the Muslim youth running around the circle without any obvious objective... I agree with a lot of what you say but that doesn't mean i can't point out what's wrong... but i still respect you for your passion.. You can be a great asset for Muslim youth only if you reconstruct your thought process with the help of your team, and understand other's perspective, realize your own mistake, and make clear & objective conclusions instead of abstract theories... May Allah Guide you...

I also believe that Muslim ummah today need reconstruction of religious thought... but it should be logical and not against the very core concepts of Quran.. and what Sahil Adeem Sir is doing is very abstract and irrational... I love his passion to bring change in Muslim ummah but there can be a better way instead of leading them on a path which has not clear objective motive... and such path will no longer survive because with time people will realize these abstract concepts were only facinating in theory not in practical life....

Why don't you address islamic teachings on Hijrah since westren Muslims are suffering due to continuous attacks on Islam? Why don't you encourage Hijrah as it is obilgatory in Islam until the door of Taubah is open and the door of Taubah is open until the sun rises from west.

You have failed to give answer to this question logically.
When you decide to take loans from wealthier people (e.g. those that don't believe and follow God's laws), you are basically paying them extra money (usury/interest) back. Hence you are obeying the loaner rather than God, since you are not paying the interest money to poorer people. No rocket science required.
