a bit of bash testing of the Tamiya Volvo Hauler A60 6x6 RC truck.
Having much fun with this one so definitely recommended.

Hi Pete! Oh my gosh, this was an action-packed video! I know it isn't but it looks like the video is speeded-up! That thing is MENTAL! Proves how tough it is too, after what you put it through. I really liked the shot where the camera was pointed at the clouds and we could see the clouds drifting by as the truck flew overhead. Great stuff, mate. Hello matey. Yes I can confirm that nothing was speeded up in this. I did include a couple of jump shots at normal speed and they look sped up because most of it is at half speed. That shot of looking at the clouds was inspired by a shot that uncle Bob did. I thought it would be good to speed the clouds up in between the jumps. Anyway I've just got home from the pub which was all very nice. I did watch some of your Scorpion build before I set off. I was interested to see if you had an issue with the same thing that I did and you did indeed! Anyway I'll watch the rest in the morning and comment. I'm just at the stage of building the shocks. Pete, THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Love the jump over the camera & as we use to say running in the back yard "TREE!!!!!!" What a great video, and it shows you have no fear running an RC to the max!!!!! Stay safe my friend!!!!
Hiya Bob. That shot over the camera was inspired by one that you did a while back. What a great idea! Does need to be in slomo as it isn't there for long. @@PeteWylieRC Thanks Pete, I got the idea for the "look in the sky" shot from somewhere, it does look good I must admit. It did take me a few jumps to get the angle right (this is still all new to me). I'm sure it wont be the last time it's used. I'm beginning to really like a brushless set up, I have a few & used a few in the past. Castle Creations seem to be my "Go To" for brushless, not cheap but very fast. The ESC can be used with a brushed or sensorless brushless motor, and are lipo ready, the only problem is, the ESC is big, if space is an issue, it's not the best choice (see the SV3 by Castle Creations in my video of my daughters TT02).
@@UncleBobsRC yeah I do like the speed and reliability of brushless sets I must say. Also you get a huge run time with brushless and a lipo. The one I've got in most of mine is that Absima 3420kv bl eco. It's about £70 so not the cheapest or most expensive. Just found it to be reliable and fairly smooth for a sensorless set. I didn't have much joy with the really cheap goolrc one I tried. I think that Castle Creations do very good stuff but not cheap as you say. I will have a look at that vid 😁

I bought one of these last September. Nice build and fun to run. After watching the TV show Gold Rush since the series started, I really like these Volvo trucks running around with pay dirt and had to get one.

What a lovely G6-01 dream that was! Your videos are really great, I reckon it takes quite some effort to edit and compile those jumps, but definitely worth watching! And a catchy tune you chose, I also watched the video yesterday while cooking dinner, and I caught myself dancing a bit, I had the volume up really loud, ha ha!

Hi there. Yeah it takes a while to condense about an hour of footage down to about 4 minutes but these are the videos I like doing the most. Yes there are a few decent tunes in the TH-cam copyright free library but not many. I've used the same ones over and over. Anyway many thanks indeed for your great comments. Very much appreciated 😁

A real Wylie Bash session! Wonderful! I enjoyed. Those 6x6's are just perfect for run videos. Not sure how that truck bed (if that is the right word) survived all those roll overs. My favorite part is the bumps in 1:48. Just looks so good, suddenly jumping high up in the air like a frog :-)
Hiya Mikael. Yeah I think I've already recommended a Tamiya 6x6 for your collection. A real go anywhere sort of truck and definitely better with a brushless set. I can't remember if you saw the last part of the build of this but the supports of the truck bed did break and I replaced them with body posts which are much stronger. Hi there. I really like these 6wd Tamiyas. Ideal for the winter and very interesting to drive with the 4WS. It is pretty tough really. Just those bits I mentioned on the build vid but all fixed now. Turbo Scorpion build is going really well. Such a nice kit. The chassis is pretty much together. Just making some alterations so I can fit the brushless ESC in as it's a bit too big. I think you will certainly have to remain on TH-cam making videos as you will never get a job as a dump truck driver now that this video is out! That truck did amazing and so many big jumps in there and it just kept going!!! tough ol boy right there!
