- Golem is super underrated, it seals off Imperm (just like you said) but also Evenly post-side. But at the end of game 1 turn 3, they could just bait Ash with Nadir, summon Spirit to get Nightmare Pain (the most important card of the deck), Pain pop Spirit to summon Yubel (search is irrelevant), then Golem would summon itself to the field for the OTK (3k Yubel, 3k Ultimate, 3k Ultimate's burn) - Rage on game 1 should have added Spirit back to hand (the safe play, a greedier would be to add any other fiend), either for battle protection or for a discard. You can even set the trap here to revive Spirit and search for Chronicle that you can discard for Super Poly, then get Chronicle back via the secret effect of Gates if you believe Rage/Poly are enough (this can be a bit greedy though but at least you got a discard for super poly anyway) - While Evenly in Yubel decks seems counter-productive I really like it, especially with Nibiru (arguably the best going second handtrap for Yubel decks). You can force them to wipe everything but the token, while an attack position Token can give them loads of Battle Damage if needed depending on your hand. From my testing, the deck has no issue dealing with monsters but backrow decks are quite painful to deal with. BTW I appreciate you editing those card images over the glaring irl cards, thanks!!
About the "Neither player can activate cards or effects *_when_* that monster is Special Summoned" if you Special Summon Spirit with the trap, you just chain it on any other activation (yours or your opponent's), and the restriction will miss its timing since it's a "when" effect thus getting you the search. Edit: Imagine how busted would it be if it didn't miss timing. You would chain that to Poplar's hand effect for example, then on resolution Poplar wouldn't be able to activate the on-field search effect.
@@drakozero8 Personally i'm not a big fan of it (i prefer Unchained + Sacred Beast + non-engine), but if you run it you should play 3 Nadir with 1 Maximus, then to give Maximus its full utility you need to run at least 1 NTSS + 1 Packbit as removal options together with a Shaddoll Apkalone/Winda (sided for going first Schism). Sending Garura/Yama to the GY can be good, Omega can force out stuff from the opponent's GY. Predaplant Chimerafflesia giving you a Super Poly would be great, if it weren't so slow.
I'm surprised more people are playing the for iblee lock. When spirit of yubel comes out, it will work better with Samsara starter but the field spell makes it live. You end on Rage+Trap+Yubel+Iblee. You pop their NS with Unchained Trap and they cant ram iblee cause Nightmare Pain. If they somehow find a way to special summon, you rage>SP.

Watching this game was hurtful, this why I don't like the armor and ghost trick engine 😕 they just are not solid top decks if you don't do the combo turn 1
Agreed the top decks sucked so bad, but as 1 ofs you shouldn't see them like that, it was a very bad 1 off game, That being said if you do take them out it opens up the extra a lot and allows you to play more exstenders/starters
see the goblin player should have just ended his turn on ungabunga lol because then he could have just had the trap for back up and then steal attach a monster via the ungabunga and then went into his armor play in the next turn. you gotta think your opponent is gonna side in nib against a deck like goblins.
True but then it comes down to local environment as some dont even run Nib as most competitive players can play through/around it. you cant always play it safe that your opp has opened 1 of their 3 of either. where yes its a nice safe option, ending on just a bunga may always not be that useful as they could have Imperm, Evenly, Harpries, Lightning stom many more options to destroy that board and OTK that not taking the risk of going full combo which is a lot harder for them to break. Risk and reward.
I will never see the point of summoning a yubel monster in defence position... unless you want to play around honor Ark in 2024 that is haha and lightning storm.. well they will go for the backrow for sure most of the time

What's the ratio for Nadir? How many should you run.

In that first turn, why didn't he trigger Rage to grab back Soul of Yubel when it died by Terror Incarnate?
All these yubel videos have been really helping me get back into ygo with this deck :)
Glad your finding it helpful

Can you provide a source like a link or decklist where people have been playing iblee in yubel decks? Would love to see it!

Yes I agree I have been playing Gold Pride Goblins cause its just a bunch of extenders and the non engine slots are quite high
If he had p.u.n.k. engine (dont care about gold pride) g2 he could play around nibiru however he had such bad starting hand

It depends on how caution you want to be, imperm, Lightning storm etc
@@zephyrwargamesyugioh Imperm is great for bait since Nightmare Pain reflects the damage, and you just float. A surprise burn can be game ending.
@babrad a knowledgeable player isn't going to leave anything on the board so won't get hit by surprise burn sadly
I put it in DEF cos I had no Nightmare Pain. If the eff gets negated then I will be taking full damage, and of course lightning storm and stuff.
Nice
yubel list looks really wack seems very inconsistent
