I've uploaded a seperate video about all the permits and documents that are required to enter the Pamirs. For people who are interested in going there. 😊
There are so many unseen things in this world! I think by far that was one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen, the blue water with those mountains behind! WOW!
Sjoh indrukwekkend zeg prachtig! Supermooi!! 💚
That was spectacular. Great journey into the relative unknown. Not many people these days can say they have done what you just conquered. I'm looking forward to part 2 onwards. Your editing is getting better with each upload. Keep it going.
What a great watch...! When you were waving to Afghanistan I was a chicken shit, thinking: "Please, don't get shot at!" hahahah... And Oh my... your thoughts are so eloquent when you spoke about the space and mindset in the mountains, and how you are walking on the edge. I love all of the scenery, the adventure, the locals... what an amazing treat to watch!!!! BIG WOW!!!!!
You are an inspiration to me and many others. I cannot go wild-camping due to ill health. I do wild cook out still as i have to go with others. You are to me so beautiful and a fresh of fresh air. Keep up the good work.. Wish you a Very happy Christmas Love and Luck.. Mick Chef-on-the-wild-side,,,,,, XX
I saw you with Ben Fogel and some other programs! Respect to you and your good companions!! Its nice to see the world from your perspective and when you talk about the expansion and stillness between your thoughts wow 👌 ❤
Always the happiest people, the ones who live in the mountains. I always say, the less I see people the more I like them. Meaning, if you live in crowded countries you'd rather not talk to anyone. If you hardly see any, then every meeting is miraculous. ❤
Prachtig land!
I love this so much!!! And I’m with you Nanet, river crossings are 100% the worst hahah. Thanks for bringing the rest of us along for your journey and philosophical musings 💋
thank you for your invaluable reflections about life and the state of mind that you feel when you are out there. i never learned about this space of mind that you feel when being at a high altitude. will have to try it out! "everyone should come here get high too" I love it :)
At present, all the cyclists go over the Pamir Highway to Kyrgyzstan. We saw hundreds. But there's hardly anyone hiking, let alone cycling the mountains. Let's hope it stays that way.
Beautiful to see this, i really like your videos. can you please make more videos with Peter and you, i love seeing you 2 together just like in the many documentaries about you 2, even if it is just a walk it is nice to see you 2 together
Hi Renske. Yes I will. Peter and I are already thinking about our winter conversations. (But I can't force Peter to appear on my vidoes... he's got an acute sense "right timing".) But yes, soon he'll be back. In the meantime you can read his brilliant book "Who guards the guardians" available on Amazon.
Congrats on your continuing beautiful life, in NZ I followed you at times, and I am now back in the home territory of the early 60's, Clarence, Wairau, Waiau, and Buller! Thought that would create some memories, Love You, Arohanui,,,,,,,,,,,
also what you said about space between thoughts - so right on, and i have also heard stories of people going a bit mad there, and i agree, i think its the spaciousness
@@Evgeniya6661 thank you for your message. You're from Dushanbe, wow. All the Tajik people were so good to us.❤ I miss Tajikistan. Don't forget to visit the Pamirs as often as you can. And yes risky place .... One can get enlightened or go insane...!!! 😊
Wowwww Breathtaking again Miriam!! Shivers all over. I want to say one thing about Afghanistan. You said earlier on thst they live 100 yrs back. But that is not so. The ppl, women, are surpressed by the Taliban. An Islamitic fundamentalist movement. Woman are only allowed to be indoors!!!! While before they went to university even without a headscarf. They live in an inhumane regime you cant compare with any other time before i think...not 100 yrs, not a few 1000 yrs... Im looking forward to see part 2. Thank you for sharing.
If you're interested in going to the Pamir Tajikistan. First watch this video about the required permits.😊 th-cam.com/video/ZVl9K776GLE/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
I love everything about your videos: The music, the primitive editing style and your deeeep insights of wisdom and love. Are you inviting for trips like this or is it only with your close friends? I'd love to go on a Lancewood expedition!
Until now it has only been for close friends. But maybe one day I might invite strangers too. If you contact me via my website I'll send you an invite when that time comes.❤ MiriamLancewood.com
*_Hi Miriam..., the mountains in Tajikistan are similar to those in Nepal, it's really cool that you can come here Miriam..., when are you coming to Indonesia?, nice to meet you in Indonesia......_*
Peter and I spent 6 months in Indonesia in 2007. Moved around on the Pelni boat. To see Sulawesi and West Papua was great. I'd love to explore the Terra Incognito in WP one day.... ❤
You're most welcome. I hope you visit south east asia or japan one day - would be very cool to attend one of your talks or book events. I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

Another beautiful journey filled with your positivity. Nice to see that, here too, the mountain people are so welcoming.

The world is a big place, Leo. It's not only bigger than we think it's bigger than we can think. it's truly wonderful. ❤
I know, I have travelled in Nepal, Ladakh, Pakistan and I am a worldcitizen.

Thank you Vincent!❤
So awesome ❤
Love the video and music and look forward to more.
Finding local music takes up most of my time probably. But I love it. Part of the cultural journey❤
Hi Miriam!
I bet Peter wished he was there with you 😊
Stunning landscapes and I loved the fishing segment. Maybe someday we will see mountain bikes up there like we do in the Scottish mountains.
At present, all the cyclists go over the Pamir Highway to Kyrgyzstan. We saw hundreds. But there's hardly anyone hiking, let alone cycling the mountains. Let's hope it stays that way.

Oh yes that's right, I knew that in the 70s they were incredibly liberal. It has changed a lot.

Eenvoud is mooi. Was Peter tijdens de reis in Bulgarije? Groetjes uit Nederland.
Yes, Peter tended the veggie garden and looked after the cat and dog whilst I was on my expedition. ❤

Indeed, good durable gear isn't often the lightest. But you got to be strong to carry a 25 kg.pack.
6:40 Afghan hash? If not why not?😅
No, no need for hashes.😂 I was high on thin air 😊
