Any of you that are talking trash about the X have no clue this is the best gaming console to date. Every game I have played on the X is an improvement in every way. The X runs amazing it would be nice to see the gaming community open there minds for a moment and close there mouths. I love my Switch Zelda & Mario are incredible games my Pro is great for the PS exclusives and VR. All the negative garbage is mind boggling the X is my best console purchase in 39 years of gaming.

Vaibhav Shah Yea tbh I don't really care about alot of exclusives never really have but I really do like how ms has good software and fairly good hardware I have so many memories playing xb1 already.
Thanks a lot Spawn! This video really helped me out. I've had my One X for over a year now (no longer under warranty) so I decided to finally reapply the thermal paste because my console was very loud, especially when playing RDR2. Now it's very quiet!! :D
I can't be assed taking mine apart
I wanna dissemble mine for the same reason. The only thing I'm concerned about is the ribbon cable, not sure how to take it out or even reassemble it. Any info would be appreciated.
@@banginbadger75 The ribbon cables can be removed with just using your fingernails or a pair of tweezers. I don't pull on the ribbon itself, just the plastic ends.

I have a PS4. I hate it. I. Hate. My PS4. It is loud, it is slow, and games just don't run well on it. It was great when I bought it, but now it's a piece of shit. Never buying another PS4. My dad bought himself a PS4 Pro because he's a playstation elitist and my god is that thing fucking annoying. I don't care what everyone else's preferences are, but I'm really sick of the "this console is better than this console" bs because everyone has their own preference. I only like the controllers of the PS4, that's my only reason for not buying an Xbox, so I've converted to Nintendo because the Xbox and PS4 have their own dealbreakers for me. My only issue with Xbox is the controllers though, so at least Xbox has that going for it.
For the record though it's not that the controllers are bad, my hands are just too small to comfortably use an Xbox controller.

I actually really like the design of the Xbox One X. While I'm still not going to buy it since I own a shit ton of games on my Ps4, Switch, and PC I hope the other companies take design hints from Microsoft.
Thermal compound can be dry
As long as it's not thick and makes full contact with the dye it's fine
It also softens when the console heats up

My only complaint about the system is the internal power supply. I prefer power supplies to be external for a few reasons. 1st: power supplies are known to go out, and making it external makes it easier to replace. 2nd: cuts down on the heat inside the system and could have also helped make the system even more compact, or helped with room for more heat dissipation.
I understand the convenience of not having to have a power supply brick, but the most reliable video game consoles have a LONG history of external supplies.
The regular computer bus is 64 bit single channel and 128 bit dual channel I think. I like how the fuzed the ram alongside the prcessor for heat dissipation very first I seen on a main board. very small compact high density ram.
Nah, this doesn't use traditional DDR RAM at all. There are no "channels" as you are used to thinking about them. It's unified memory architecture exclusively using the 12GB of GDDR5 on a 384-bit wide bus.

What’s wrong with dry thermal paste? It’s not supposed to be “wet”, as long as the paste application makes good contact between surfaces, you’re good. Really annoying seeing everyone overreact on tech channels when it comes to fucken thermal paste.

Yes, it means they come from the factory with cheap thermal paste that dries out quickly.

The problem is the consumer laws in most other countries. Theoretically speaking, Microsoft is breaking the law if they don't cover your warranty if you have a broken sticker. Microsoft is one of the 10 companies that has been opposing that law, most of those companies are Japanese and Chinese. Microsoft is actually one of the top 5 most anti american American companies.
Whatever fanboy you are, its undeniable that the Xbox One X is a master crafted console. Best in the business currently.

@Ovy Licker The Series X is basically a Xbox One X, also the Series S is more powerful as well, The X cannot do Ray Tracing or keep up with the CPU in the Series S let alone the Series X. Dont get me wrong, i have a XB1X and i dont plan on getting a Series X soon. Its a great console.
@Ovy Licker If its well optimized it can, but 4k/60 is only one thing which the XB1X does well. The Series S will do more of everything else, like better graphically settings with Ray Tracing.

I just got a One X for 95 bucks after trading in my One 1tb and my ps4 slim 1tb. Got both for less than 200 and only played the ps4 after beating the handful of games I was interested and haven't played it since so I figured I'd cash it in for something that I'll actually use long term. Can't say I miss my ps4 except the ontroller but boy was the trade worth it. I'll buy a new ps4 when DS comes out..

the Warranty void stickers are a violation of 1975 Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.. if you want to force it and take it to court they would lose but they bank on the fact that you don't want to spend the money to do so.
You don't have to take it to court. Just a demand letter from a lawyer with a copy of the federal law will get them to repair the console.

PS4 pro has been revised. From CUH-70xx to 71xx to now 72xx it's quiet.
It's still doesn't hold a candle to how quiet the X is. You can thank Sony for pinching pennies on the heatsink, like SpawnWave mentioned.
