These videos are great. One thing I do when I bring a rescue into my home (for his/her forever home) I give him/her one of my shoes to chew on. This always works. This is the ONLY shoe my dog will chew on. My other shoes are safe. Plus, the other toys will keep them occupied while I am away. Thanks for posting!
These videos are not great. Show dumb pet owners who stupidly leave things within reach and have not trained or confined their pets properly. Bunch of mindless show offs.

Dogs aren’t able to feel guilt, it’s the tone of your voice that makes them react this way. Never shout at your dogs as it makes them fearful.

My dog adores stealing from the bin (anything) and bring it to my bed. I put the bin so that she couldn't reach, but every time she succeeds, she does it. And she KNOWS it's bad, cause she comes with this guilty look as dogs in the video have BEFORE I find out. She's just that ... "Oh, sorry, you know, I've done it again. Don't know how, just I saw some trash and then found myself in your bed"
Dogs chew footwear bc it not only smells like their owners but shoes are one of the last things people put on before leaving. They associate footwear with you leaving them so if they eat the shoes, they think u won't leave.

Hairspray with a little hot sauce sprayed on wires will keep an animal from chewing! I inherited a cat that could cut a a headphone wire on the fly! It worked like a charm!

Actually, dogs do not feel guilty like people would like to think. You can try this: Show him a perfectly good item and talk to him in a harsh tone, "What have you done?", you'll probably get the same "guilty" look.
My roommates dog ate my $20 bill. The roommate says he'll get my bill back in a couple of days. Sure enough, no degrading of it either. So I washed and taped it, and took it to the bank. I'd called them, they said only one side showing serial numbers was needed.
When at the bank, teller says she has to talk to manager. Manager says she needs start of serial numbers on other side of bill. I said okay, see ya in a few days. Their faces were priceless, I should of taken a picture.

Just put your stuff someplace so that the dog cannot get to them, then the problem will be solved. I've had two cats in my life, and they could get into trouble even in front of me. I couldn't help but laugh, because they knew that it was wrong, they especially loved laying my clean laundry.

That's easy to say but follow this. We kept our big bag of flour on the island in our kitchen as we make bread every day. Nog once ever had it been a concern. One day we went out and when we got back flour was everywhere, including g all over my dogs face. Who would have thought he would eat flour? And to this day we have no idea how he got on the island...lol

Well, you can’t punish them unless you catch them within like 2 seconds. Negative corrections don’t work well. The dogs looking “guilty” are likely just not happy they are getting scolded. My dog is super sensitive to loud noises and voices and will run. Rough when I’m cursing over something that had nothing to do with her and she hides. 😆

I don't even bother confronting my dogs. Mostly when they commit a transgression, they are young. They'll get over it, mostly. One of my dogs jumps up on the sink and eats nice stuff I'm defrosting. It's obvious who did it because he's not interested in the next meal.

a lot of clips in such videos may seem funny, but it shows a lot about the owners... the dogs or cats are bored (underutilized the word?) or not feeling well. some developed concerning behaviour like liking on the wall or doors for example....
That's not guilt. That's fear. Dogs don't connect misdeeds done hours earlier with the debris. They don't know why the owner is mad. They're trying to "atone ' for a sin they don't know they committed
Next time, put it out of the Dogs reach. It's your fault. And it's not cute.
Your videos look good but very hard to listen to when a voice-over is telling us what's happening every time. We can see it, hear it, know what's going on ourselves and don't need help. Please lose the voice-over. Thank you.
