I love the new "arena" :-) Sooo jealous of your capacity to just throw the kit and practice with a bunch of like minded friends, putting the armour on has become a 1 to 3 times a year event :-(
They're a great group! We all make sacrifices and most of us travel around 2 hours to get to train with each other once a month, but I understand not everyone even has that. And thanks for the comment on the list! It's built to come apart easily and store in my shed, so it's not appropriate for like buhurt or something but it works for us.
Yep, it was fun! Honestly I was mostly thinking of the Bolognese sword and rotella that I know. Not historically the same but with some modification it worked.
Nice final pass -- good reversal to put Dan down when he went for your leg. Being nice and not throwing shield punches? There were a few times you could have given Dan a good knock.
Thanks! Yeah I wasn't really wanting to shield punch to be honest. We were just having some fun at the end of the day. If he had a full helmet I may have thrown a couple in, but I also haven't worked that so not sure on my level of force with it.
My mask and I appreciate that as well :P. It's technically designed for blossfechten. I was using the LP helmet for this because I'm still in the process of converting my S&B into a Close Sallet. When I get that together, then I'm totally down with throwing in some shield punches
Sweet round, convenient video length 🤣
Hah, thanks! Was not intentional, believe it or not.

Good to watch. Interesting techniques, looks like you were having fun. Love the sound of moving harness.

I've never tried fighting with a spear in harness. Will have to give it a go.
