Love her so much. One of my favorite moments of hers was during Oprah's Legends brunch, the day after the Legends and "Youngins" all met at Oprah's house and had the emotional luncheon. The singers were singing "Oh happy day", and then “I’m so glad he changed me…” Bobby Winans passed the mic around… to Dionne, Chaka, Shirley Caesar, Valerie Thompson, Patti, and yet Yolanda’s part was so tranquil. “….He took away all the pain; all the pain of the years….” It was so beautiful. I wish that entire brunch improvised concert were recorded!!
She is truly one of the greatest women singers👏🏾 I would love to see an updated one with her performances at the White House when Obama was president she was always performing 😂👏🏾
Good video. Ms. Adams definitely is a gifted vocal powerhouse. Her great White House performance of John Legend and Common's award-winning song Glory should've been added.
@@TikTokermencakes she's actually a lyric mezzo..she has an obvious ease in her middle and low register where she's sings the most. Her voice thins as she is ascends into the upper 5th octave. Known trait for mezzos especially her 3rd octave notes is a stamp she for sure a mezzo. Listen at how she barely goes above f#5 it's noticeably uncomfortable for her up there. If she was a 1st soprano she would undoubtedly be hitting high A's B's and C's. And singing like KCS or Jennifer hudson

@@Jay2k2323 it's uncomfortable because she sings pretty fully, which is waaay easier than mix voice or those normal belts many singers use. She was definitely a soprano when she was young, her voice dropped significantly around 2005-2006 tho
