Fun Fact: I used to train with Eric Nies’ brother John who played football at the university of Arizona before being drafted by the Buffalo Bills. He was also roommates with Steve Kerr. A fun Arizona correlation for uncle Cory.
"Bernie Mac's thick ass neck" omg, I cackled! I started watching you because I was looking for a review for Fear (my brother just had a baby girl and I had to re watch the movie, lol). Your reviews are so insightful and hilarious. I feel like I am hanging with friends and shit talking about movies. I have not even seen this movie but wanted to see your thoughts. Keep up the good work guys!
First, congratulations to your brother! We understand the urge to suggest Cory or Armando as names...though Armando ain't great for a little girl. Lol. Thank you so much for your comment, genuinely made our day. Our goal is to create that very atmosphere. Just friends chilling and talking dumb shit. Please keep watching, commenting and share with your friends! Don't be shy with any requests either...
Another great review! I really enjoyed this movie and I agree that the soundtrack was amazing. Pain was my favorite track along with Regulate. I also agree that Tupac had great range and it’s terrible that he didn’t get a chance to showcase more of his talent before he died. If you guys haven’t seen Gridlock’d you should really check it out.
Great film, one I always come back to I feel it's more than a 50% movie like rotten tomatoes suggests. More like the audience score of 80%. With great characters a decent back story with a great soundtrack it's always great to watch. Love your guys review.
Kyle's hotttt behind momma SLAPPING the dog mess out of him around 25:21 turned me so so on!! There was also a scene in this movie were she yelled at him and grabbed his chin for like half a minute 😳!! You betta get him babygirl 😍!!
😂. Kyle’s mom was my favorite character. She was such a great representation of a single mother...and she did NOT play. Lol. Thank you for commenting!!
@@KisstheReviews yeeeaaasss!! I believe Kyle's father died!! I am so crazy about his momma, she's such a hottie!! She's so beautiful and mean!! My kinda lady🥰!!
I don't think there was anything "in it" for Dewayne Martin beating up Bernie Mac. He's just looking for an opportunity to be the big guy. It just shows how much misguided anger he was dealing with. He was a total loose cannon because he wasn't dealing with the emotions surrounding his father. And black ppl talk to dead ppl all the time btw. Haven't u guys ever watched Sanford & Son. But I get it.. there are definitely some corny moments in this movie.
Movie is great! His conversation with dead Nutso was just too much. It’s one thing to talk to the dead. It’s totally different when you arguing with the ghost. 😂 Thanks for commenting!
Yall should review "Sugar hill" feat. Wesley snipes and michael wright, u know the eddie caine Jr. From the five heartbeats...oh yall should do that movie too❤😊
I love this movie and I agree the character Kyle is a cocky fuck, he was annoying as hell. The way you guys talk about this is pretty narrowed down. It's great
Ok...who said he was a dealer in Poetic Justice? I said he was in his thug feelings and he got to act a bit more. There are plenty of things to disagree with us over. No need to invent stuff. Thanks for commenting!
I never think about directors stealing unless it's a really distinct shot. I mean, a movie is a collaboration with the writers and cinematographer, so I don't really get how it's stealing. Was the movie artistic? Not really. That combined with the fact that it's a white guy directing a bunch of actors who are dealing with inner city "black" themes, then it's easy to criticize. But heck, Spike doesn't have a monopoly on these types of movies (take the 1990s movie Kids as an example that other people besides Spike can do it just as well). Spike also did He Got Game after this movie and I'd say other than Denzel's performance that movie is worse than above the rim...
Being his first movie, Armando was saying that he politely borrowed some of the sharp cuts/quick edits from Spike. It’s not a disservice to Pollack. Many rappers’ first album or mix tape sounds like an amalgam of their favorite artists when they were coming up. I’ll talk to Armando about his language though. 😂

Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!
The fact that they didn't use Bell Biv Devoe's Above the Rim on the soundtrack is a missed opportunity ⛹🏿♂️

Nice Trivia: Duane Martin (Kyle) was actually signed by the Knicks in '89. He was released before playing a game though.
Nice! I’d love to get in one of the Hollywood pick up games I hear about. I’d let D run with me. 😂
Was that the same Knicks team Mark Jackson played on?
love these reviews😂 review of Clockers would be nice

Yup. I’m guessing bare hands is the only thing more personal than a razor.
Awesome review & hilarious commentary
Thank you very much. Appreciate you!
We played in tournaments with high school kids when we were in 8th grade. We played in different leagues all year round. So it's kinda believable.
Word. I never saw it in street tourney’s but that don’t mean shit. 😂

He’s no Cory Idle...but I’ll allow it. 😂
