Sir said due to skin effect T(st) increases so the graph should bulge out near s=1

Slip is the ratio of relative speed of conductor wrt magnetic field to synchronous speed. As stator MF is now stationary so conducter see only the rotor MF and wrt conductor its speed is -Nr

The denominator is not synchronous stator magnetic field , but it's the rated speed of motor .it's just an absolute quantity not a physical time varying quantity
