I just saw your post that u repaired 1 of these amps...i just bought 1 hooked it up was hitting fine then i locked up my sub and my amp went into protection mode and it won't do anything else..i bought a new sub and rebooked the amp and nothing just red led on protection can u help me fix it
@@pauljiron7786 if no smoke came out and it is in protect then your output mosfets might have burned. The only way to know for sure is to open the amp and test them. If you have basic electronic knowledge you need a multi meter and test the two last lest of the output mosfets. If any of them read zero ohms or beep continuously in the continuity setting then it’s a bad mosfet and needs replacement. This is a simplification of what could be wrong but from my experience it’s usually the case with these.

Nice video. The collaboration with BigDWiz was excellent. This amp is pretty close to my Orion Xtr 2500.1 in power and price to performance. Thumbs up for that!
I see they made some changes since I had my 1600 watt version which actually had a 1500's internal board! They switched the output transistors to TO-3P/TO-247's from the TO-220/50N06 mosfets they used to use! These boards are actually pretty thick as well, compared to other brands and the traces hold up pretty well! Really surprised they actually strapped two amps internally for the design, but that would explain the 2-ohm minimum impedance since each one internally is rated at 1-ohm!
Also using 0g wire extra car battery but I think I need better alternator. Hard finding higher power alts for a 2018 vehicle. Its dimming the lights. Any info on capacitors vs battery let me know trying to make the set up more stable.

I know this is a couple years old, but investing in a couple good power supplies if he hasn’t! There are some good ones out there can be placed together for more amperage. Megawatt has a 50a version that is stackable for up to 300a. And they aren’t expensive. I’m sure he has all this type equipment by now, but it never hurts to at least pass along some good info.

I like the output of these APCL series amps and do great in my installs. Now on another subject, I know that a lot of people hate the Epsilon products but the Power Acoustik EG10k was blasted by a lot of people but I am looking at proce verses output, this APCL3k dynamic current draw was over 400amps while producing 4600plus wattage at a 2ohm load but when the EG10 drew 360plus dynamically while producing 4700 plus wattage at 1/2 ohm with no issues....it was called a junk and a few other word's thats no better in description. 😊...and it comes with that 1/2 ohm warranty that most don't. please jelp me better understand why it is being trashed so openly while others are not as great ln the dyno get better reviews?
Audiopipe has alot of haters but I ran a strapped pair of mini 1500's for a couple years in the south Texas heat and had 0 problems. They have some of the best cheap amps out there IMO.
@@mykejonesjones1846 Was nice and small too. I made little wood amp rack that wast basically a T and put a amp on each side of the piece of wood sticking up. It made a like little 5x14 amp brick. They were the apsm1500 which were a bit smaller than the current minis.
Great amp it burn up tow kicker l7 and 2 sound stream 12" wired to 2 ohms and the gain was a Lil over quarter it was connected to 3 .marine boat batteries
Had this amp installed in February & it's still going hard. Pushing 2, 12" skar vxf 1500 rms & 3ooo max!.. not strap-able would've been awesome to have 6 + k watts
Santito 4 life because I just got the APCLE 3k and love it. I have proper electrical and not going under 2 ohm. Basically just curious on longevity of the amp. First audiopipe ever owner. So far I love it.

I had a Skar rp2000 wired at 1/2 ohm (not recommended) to a zv5 but blew the amp and for a temp amp I installed the audio pipe 3000 but it doesn’t have near the power of the Skar, both gains set with a oscope, any ideas why it don’t make a lot of power before clipping?

Unfortunately, this amplifier is not stable at 1 ohm! Which is why it's getting hot, you're lucking it didn't fail on you/ Wire it in series for a 4 ohm load.
its just 2 1500 watt amps bridged internally thats why it can't do 1 ohm. why buy a Class D if you can't do 1 ohm. now you gotta rewire or rebuy your woofers to compensate for DVC 2 ohms
Well there are pros and cons, same with a 1 ohm load. 2 ohm is less power yes, more efficient. Some people may be stuck with two DVC 2 ohm woofers and can't make a 1 ohm load, and have to opt for the 2 ohm load, which some people actually prefer. Like all things in car audio, its subjective.

This amp is actually solid then because Four DVC 4 ohm woofers get wired to a 2 ohm load and the amplifier does 3,000W RMS @ 2 ohms. The only problem I see is that those subs do 1,000W RMS each, and ideally you want your amplifier to either match the RMS of the subs or have a higher rating for head room. But so long as you don't push them too hard you should be ok. Another option would be to get two amplifiers with a rating of 2,000W RMS+ @ 1 ohm, because you can wire two DVC 4 ohm subs to a 1 ohm load. Might be a little safer

I am running that amp on my 2 nemesis audio 12s. They hit hard I'm satisfied with the amp. Glad to see it does well in testing.

Looks like it's being tested with over 15 volts. End result at 14volts. So if it's in car with 14 volts, turn it on and it'll drop to 13 volts?

Great numbers. The guts look beefy. First time I've seen an amp have two strapped inside one.
Test the Rockville RXM-S6 Marine/Boat 6 Channel Amplifier or the Power Acoustik RZ1-3500D mono amp!!

You'll probably be fine running it at the 4 ohm load. You may start the amplifier running 14v at the 1 ohm load

Resaa Lynn check your grounds and also check all of your RCAs ? Sometimes bad rcas can trigger a protection..,

Do you have the 2 ohm or 4 ohm subs
I have the 4ohm subs
This amp is actually solid then because Four DVC 4 ohm woofers get wired to a 2 ohm load and the amplifier does 3,000W RMS @ 2 ohms. The only problem I see is that those subs do 1,000W RMS each, and ideally you want your amplifier to either match the RMS of the subs or have a higher rating for head room. But so long as you don't push them too hard you should be ok. Another option would be to get two amplifiers with a rating of 2,000W RMS+ @ 1 ohm, because you can wire two DVC 4 ohm subs to a 1 ohm load. Might be a little safer

@@stevojohnson8997 none, hifonics inflates their numbers. id go with 2 wolfram c-2400.1 amps. its been dyno tested and proves that it pushes their claimed watts
