I appreciate you opening up at the end, I can completely relate as my parents have been divorced since I was ten and my parents now live over 12 hours apart. I used to do acrylics on my hands with tips, and then when I went natural and used acrylic overlay on my nails, I started getting a really bad allergic reaction, my fingers were crazily itchy and I even got a lot of blisters that I went back two days later and told her to remove everything. It’s definitely something to do with acrylic in my case! Neosporin helped but the itching was intense + big blisters! Also thank you for being so true and open, hope you have wonderful holidays❤️

About the itchy fingers. I learned that the protocol for dipped nails is to put the powder in a separate cup for only your nails then throw away the excess powder. If the nail tech, puts the left over powder back into the original jar, that’s wrong! Not only does the powder go into the jar, but whatever is under the nails like food, feces, etc. So it’s not sanitary and maybe something to check next time. Hope it goes away soon!

look up dyshidrotic eczema! i get it too and it’s from your hands being exposed to too much liquid or being submerged for a long period of time. this could be soaking your hands in a bath, doing dishes, or having them confined where there aren’t able to breathe.

The parent I wasn’t going to be with on Christmas Day, I would plan a day with them before or after Christmas Day. I’ve had to do this my whole life, I understand what you’re going through and it does get difficult at times but just know your parents love you and they know you’re doing your best!

The acetone that nail salons use is really drying on your skin! It can make your eczema more severe so try putting aquaphor on your hands after you leave :)
I completely feel you on the divorced parents. My parents divorced when I was 2 and it is very difficult having to choose between family during the holidays. It’s sucks to even think about what I’m going to do when I get married knowing my parents hate each other and I love both of them sooo much.
Hello Haley, Your nails look great ! They do appear darker on camera when the manicurist was first doing your nails you could see the actual color better. So pretty. You could have a mild sensitivity to the products used. Or even if you want to be on the safe side, if you’re concerned about cleanliness try to be the very first customer of the day opening ? It’s a minor rash if it was ME I’d WASH my hands maybe a couple of times during & after certain chemical’s powders were used ? That’s wonderful you have a man that’s a good cook, he’s a keeper ! 😉 Oh my when you went to light your candle 🕯 with that match I was so worried for you, cause when I was younger I had those beautiful nails and back then the nail polishes were highly flammable and I found out the hard way.
