Thanks for the video. i have a brother MFC-L5700DW And your video helped me to fix my printer which was printing faded print on the left side. Thanks again for your videos.
Thank you for your video. Mine is Brother MFC-L6700DW. Almost similar with yours but a bit bigger (because bigger print capacity). You made mistake same with me. We forget to put back the 4 screws on the grey plastic under the scanner black plastic beforeyou teach the laser unit (the square black box in the middle). I was bewildered why I still have 5 screws left. I'm still looking whr are all of it come from. Yesterday I opened & put back 3x to find the places for the 4 screws but still couldn't find it until I decided to re-watched your videos. Whn I lift my printer the scanner (black plastic) a bit loose from its base (grey plastic). I've to open it again this weekend.
thanks for your video, a helpful question. and it continues to print white with nothing, do you think if I change the complete fuser it will be solved?
My printer Brother MFC-L6700DW monochrome (bigger capacity thn 5700 DW). After printing continously around 2 x 30 pages I smell plastic burn from the inside. Later on the words elongated. Now I realise the printer can't print too many continously. It needs break, say, 30 pages continues then break to cool down the plastic sleeve. I cleaned the inside wth cloth, vacuum cleaner & re-greased (an Australian repairer told me to use Super Lube. Can stand up to 450 F/ 232 C) on the metal plate (tht's how the heat from the lamp inside is transferred to the paper) & surrounding. Unfortunately I put much then smelled burn grease then printing result dirty & words also printed on the sleeve film (upper roller). I suspect the plastic sleeve didn't transfer enough heat to the paper (bcs I put too much grease) resulting the words also printed on the sleeve. I re-opened the fuser, clean up both rolls wth methylated spirit (methanol). It's okay now. Still my printer needs break. Hwv, I think it makes sense bcs the heat from the lamp (inside the metal bar) is transfered to the paper by a special plastic sleeve. It can stand high temperature. I bought its replacement on ebay. The plastic sleeve is thinner thn the original Brother's.
How many continuous copies can it print before I need to rest or cool down the printer? How durable is the drum? Can it print 30,000 copies in one sitting (continuously)? How long is the drum or printer cool down?
Hi. Thank You for video. I clean my Brother Laser Unit and now printing is ok, BUT when i try to copy, printed copy is very light. When print from printer test or PC printer sheet is ok. Problem is ONLY COPY. I Try to scan document from PC with no problem i perfect quality... Any solution?
maybe because of the copy settings, you need to change the copy settings by 1. press menu 2. select copy 3. select the quality press ok change it to auto for normal setting, 4. select brightness, move it to mid bar for default setting same to the contrass...if you change it correctly but still same problem appear, follow this next step.. 1. press menu, 2.general setting or setup press ok 3. select ecology 4. toner save select toner save off press ok, then try to copy
after you follow my instruction but same promblem, maybe your toner is empty or your cartridge need to clean the doctor blade.. but first thing you need to do is change the copy settings.. thank you
@@myrj10 I checked the settings. Eco mode is off. When copying, in order to get a readable copy, i must select +2 for desity and contrast. The interesting thing is that on the printer test it prints normally, as well as if I run something to print from the computer. The problem is only when copying
sir ginawa ko na yung procedure na tinuro mo, tnx. ok sya pag nagprint ako, kaya lang pag nagcopy ako sobrang labo nya. ano kaya solution dun sir? tnx in advance
Thank you very much. Watching from Australia. If possible don't touch the electronic components. It's electrostatic sensitive. Mine is MFC-L6700DW. It's monochrome laser printer. After printing continuously around 15 min it has a bit plastic burn smell, sometimes there are small black plastic melt dots scattered on the paper, sometimes words are stretched. Is the problem shown on your video & need to clean it up? Originally it had no problem. Until I used it for many hours almost continuously even I've already changed new the toner & drum. Regardless using original or non the problems are the same.
Now I know the problem. The silicon grease underneath its fuser sleeve film (between the sleeve with its heater) is already dry. It's all inside the fuser unit. To put silicon grease (high temperature, 200 C) need to take out its fuser unit then open it. I saw it on other guy's video. I bought original Brother's fuser unit for around US 170 including postage here in Australia. The old fuser unit I keep it for back up.
@@myrj10 thanks. I've got from someone else too but I'd like to see your version. I've managed to re-grease my fuser film sleeve using silicone grease high temperature (max 200 C).
THANK YOU! I was afraid I had to replace the fuser on my printer ($150 min), and this cleaning completely fixed my problem! TWO tips for everyone: first, do what Joe Yahoo said and put in the 4 screws into the grey plastic that goes over the black laser unit cover. Second, for help on how to do the cleaning, go to the following video, which is a different printer but the same kind of laser unit: th-cam.com/video/WehskXO87fY/w-d-xo.html

I should have listened! I also had to take it apart again. Thanks for the tip.

if the problem is with the print out, fuser has nothing to do with it. Possible problem can be in the cartridge or drum
Watching from Bahrain

You better check your fuser assembly or your back to back tray at the back of the machine.

Gracias por el tremendo video para solucionar problemas del laser
Sabes si es similar para la línea 8080?
How many continuous copies can it print before I need to rest or cool down the printer?
How durable is the drum? Can it print 30,000 copies in one sitting (continuously)?
How long is the drum or printer cool down?
about cool down...the printer have automatic system to cool down...about drum... depend on drum you use compatible or original drum.
Appreciate the video but I can't stand the music. Makes it very hard to watch. I'd much prefer hearing you explain the video without any music.
sir may video kyo na pano i open yong cover nun mga gear
