This is the story of project Sakhi. Sakhi empowers women by teaching them to make biodegradable sanitary pads to earn livelihood. The project has 170 units in 24 states of India manufacturing sanitary pads and providing them to girls at an affordable rate. This project has brought about a revolution in villages making women confident and healthy by breaking the taboo associated with menstrual periods.
