I was trying to figure out why I loved this raccoon so much and it’s very clear. I was him. I moved to New York City as a teenager and wore earphones and hoodies and walked around everywhere. I lived in crazy tenement apartments. I rode the subway 24/7. Music was everywhere- record stores on every block, coffee shops were the social hangouts. It’s pre-9/11 New York and I miss it and being a youngster there. Thank you for showing me how far I’ve come and how lucky I was to experience it. I’ll always be a New Yorker. Always and forever.
