Thanks for the info!! Never fished at night before until this past Saturday night! Limited out between 1am-4am (1 was 8.5lbs) using 7.5 inch red shad with the added bead between the sinker and hook as you noted, this rocked man!!
So true all of it. Was out on Saguaro last night and had been struggling with the night bite. First night we actually had good luck boated 8 and lost 3 BF went just over 5. Just watched your vid this morning and out tactics were exactly what you decribed here. Chatterbaits through grass and Texas rigs with a bead for points leading up to the grass flats.
Good advice. Night basin' is tough. Get's lonely by yourself. Also spooky. Mind starts wandering. Was fishing a pond when about 2:OO pm something nearby crashed through the woods along the bank past me. Sounded big as a bear. Probably a deer. Scared the crap outta me. Fished through a full moon when a rainstorm caught us by surprise. Caught bass on black Jitterbugs through the rain until it stopped. Best night fishing of my life.
This video is great. Looking back when I fished at night catching bass match with what you said. now I know how raise my catch average from 3 to 8 or 9 fish at my local pond when it pressured at the day
i've been night fishing since labor day of this year and what i do is i have 1 line Texas Rigged with a J hook with hotdogs or maple susage on for catfish to bite then i might sit there waiting for bites or i might rig up my other pole and try to use topwater or crankbaits or spinnerbaits or just about anything that is noisey casues vibration or has scent. If your fishing chocolate m ilk water then white and pink or solid white crankbait or spinnerbait or chatterbait i even caught 1 on a lipless crankbait before. Matt Allan once said throw what youre most comfortable throwing at night as you would in the day.
I would add the importance of a good black light and flourescing line for night fishing. It helps when you need to re-tie, visually watch the line for strikes & it makes fixing tangles and backlashes easier then in daylight!
Thanks for your time putting these videos together - VERY informative (no pun intended)! A lot of good information in here. I have wanted to go night fishing but was a little unsure about it. This gave me some confidence to go out and try it. Great job!
Im Gonna do some night fishing and I appreciate the help with bait choices. Looks like I'm going to need a trip to get some tackle. These free videos can get expensive!
Really Good Video I.F. very detailed like always..... thanks ive learned alot from your vids.... still trying to learn..... so far ive caught only one bass since ive started fresh water fishing.... i find fresh water challenging than saltwater.... that why i love fresh water more. Thanks again and lookin FWD in seeing more vids of fishing off the bank.
Great tips. Thanks man. I sometimes fish at dust and stop fishing after dark because it seems everything stops biting. I guess 've been fishing too fast like you said. I m gonna try to slow down right after dark to see the difference.
I've fished everybody of water for every species of fish every way possible an top water bass fishn at night with a full moon is one my absolute favorite buzz baits anything chop that water man super fun
Very good video. The bad thing bout on of the spots I fish is an old gravel pit, I don't have a boat so I don't have a depth finder so n the part of it where I've caught the most is tricky to get down from the parking area. One it has a lot of vines n briars that will trip u up then it has a steep step down that is 95% sand n pea gravel, then at the bank it's roughly 4 ft then has a slope to an unknown depth n being I swim like a rock I don't go there at night n also if it's not a full moon it's very dark due to no security lights or house lights. So if u encounter a situation like that I wouldn't attempt it due to the aforementioned hazards. But if I had a boat I would love to fish that spot. Sorry for rambling
I do good on chartreuse at night. When I cast, I like to splash the surface, this works on pressured waters. I've caught a 9lb bass on this method at night on a chartreuse tube Texas rigged.
Awesome vid. I night fish in summer when the water is 75° or more. I go much faster then in day time. Chatterbait buzzbait wakebaits. Only luck with bottom baits are in trees or other high high percentage areas. And I can’t imagine doing any better, it’s cool to see another perspective. Never tried prespawn night fishing. What water temps do you look for?
awesome video I'm a new subscriber I've been watching three or four videos so far and I'm fairly new to fishing for bass in northern New Jersey... thanks for all the help I can't wait to go and night time bass fishing for the first time this year. TOM BUDD LAKE NEW JERSEY
Great vid, but I noticed black buzz baits are not in your arsenal. Why not? I've had success with them at night in Florida. There's a guy in Georgia who claims he's nailed over 1330 double digit bass -- at night! -- mostly on buzz baits.
I'm biting, tell me more about the 'IF all in one'... I don't have a crapload of money to spend on 10 different rods. lol.. I live in Manteca Ca. so I mostly fish the delta and the foothill lakes/ reservoirs. Thanks Nick love the vids man.
Mr. FatBasstard you dont need a whole warehouse worth of rods and reels of all sizes. i got two. one bc with 40lb braid for heavy fishing like in brush and logs. my other is a simple 20 buck combo spinning reel with 8lb mono for finesse fishing and weightless t rigs. most of my friends have only one rod. they even use them for catfishing. be humble and fish 😃
No offense I defiantly could be wrong but just from my experience I use both colors at same time and they bite on both and used a bright rapala at night and had really good luck people say to use dark colors
You can catch trout at night too and o heard that lunar eclipse effects hunting fishing. I'm hopefully going golf course fishing for carp bass and catfish
Thanks Nick, I’m going to lake they have stocked trout also there is bass, moon is 85% and lake is like aquarium with almost no grass and no stone. Please give me fast advice for tonight I’m going there. I appreciate your fast reply.
I bass fish alot but when I do I usually just use the same 2 lures every time. Do you have any suggestions on what other lures I should use? I use the bait ball series threadfin shad live target(Pearl/Gray) and the rapala ultra light minnow(chrome) I have great luck with them I normally catch 4-5 2-3lb bass.
Say I was throwing a jitter bug in the middle of the summer and the sun is just about setting. Bam they blow up on my lure but didn't take it. Would you recommend stopping the bait or keep the bait moving in the same pattern? Early season too water bites seem to throw me off. I start to second guess myself on wether to sit and throw it again or wait and come back to that same spot and throw again. What are your thoughts
+Bobby Beans it sounds like the fish short striked the jitterbug. I would continue doing what you are doing, but maybe have some short pauses in between. Atlas thats how i get most of my strikes in the summer on a jitterbug.... i love that lure!
Turd Cutter Hahaha good one dude. But, good job kid keep fishing and don't b one of those ppl who wants the whole world 2 know every little exciting thing that haopens to them. I'm pretty sure most ppl don't care. Its like when fat chicks post that they ran a mile lol and next post is a tag at McDonald's lol
Re-watching this video to brush up on my night fishing tactics and I just noticed that in the bottom left corner of the screen where you can see the water through your deck railing, you can make out schools of fish swimming near your boat. Specifically when you start talking about the glass bead on the Texas rig.
i'm still using my 12~15+ years old copolymer fishing line i did a pull test and abrasion test and they still pass with flying colors. Do i keep pushing and keep using this for much longer? Does fishing line have expiration date?
I went fishing for White/Silver Bass with my old line none of of broke ^^. My dad said just keep going until they break because the line we use is Made in the USA.
down in florida fishing in night tournments are you allowed to use many rods as you want? I seen a video this guy said he won night tournament but the gopro at 3.23 time showed him using two rods he said that not cheating huh? see look at this 18 1/2 lbs. First Place Monday Night Bass Fishing Tournament 4th of July....he should give the money all the money back all tournament events you not allowed to use but one rod at a time if fish come up you have to wind in rod then throw back with another rod
Stay away from treble hoo baits.....all you need is a black and blue spinnerbait with a large black colorado blade...a 10 inch junebug worm texas rigged...and a junebug trick worm on a 1/4 ounce shakeyhead
i dont want to piss you off, but i noticed you shaking alot in your videos. do you have some kind of health problem? i am just worried i dont want to be mean.
Ahh... just another ass selling THINGS to eager beginners. This guy, like most of the multi-billion dollar lure industry of snake-oil sales, mixes a tiny amount of experience and wisdom from true masters like Pat Cullen into the sales pitch.
Thanks for the info!! Never fished at night before until this past Saturday night! Limited out between 1am-4am (1 was 8.5lbs) using 7.5 inch red shad with the added bead between the sinker and hook as you noted, this rocked man!!
@Informativefisherman Best fishing information videos on youtube... hands down. Thank you!!

Yes they prefer to feed at night, good luck!
70,000 subscribers and your way of not getting in trouble is "shoosh". I like it.
LMAO!!!
I have always wanted to try top water in the summer for big bass at night.
I've fished everybody of water for every species of fish every way possible an top water bass fishn at night with a full moon is one my absolute favorite buzz baits anything chop that water man super fun
Man your lure sound effects are off the chain!
I live in a city that has small slop ponds, and I've noticed lots of rats out at night. Should I get a rat bait and throw that at night.
Yea why not
Try the suicide duck they sell on amazon and at dicks
And they actually have a rat 🐀 lure

They hit so much harder at night time. I've just discovered night time bass fishing and the bas I catch are way bigger than in the day light

You're welcome, thanks for watching!
You can catch trout at night too and o heard that lunar eclipse effects hunting fishing. I'm hopefully going golf course fishing for carp bass and catfish
Golf course fishing? Like actually fishing in the golf course ponds?
Very informative thanks!
A black old school arbogast jitterbug is awesome at night
Thanks Nick, I’m going to lake they have stocked trout also there is bass, moon is 85% and lake is like aquarium with almost no grass and no stone.
Please give me fast advice for tonight I’m going there. I appreciate your fast reply.
As of now my plan is black buzzbait and worm Texas rig and football jig(of course all black).
Watch tactical bassin
We used to use a musky jitterbug, in black.
How about a river bank with rows of street lights next to it?
Say I was throwing a jitter bug in the middle of the summer and the sun is just about setting. Bam they blow up on my lure but didn't take it. So there isn't a lack of night fishing on ur local lake just not alot of footage 😉
So what if it's full moon but overcast?

+Bob George Stay in school and you'll be able to write a complete sentence one day!
Turd Cutter Sorry, I was using my phone with a really small screen. I was too lazy to actually correct myself.
Turd Cutter

Like it.Thanks for good tips.
I don't understand the color differences I catch fish on any colors I use to be into the whole color thing not anymore
Yeah only if its bright moon does it matter
Was wondering when you were gonna make this video lol
most of my big fish come in 15 foot of water in brush piles.
i'm still using my 12~15+ years old copolymer fishing line i did a pull test and abrasion test and they still pass with flying colors.
Do i keep pushing and keep using this for much longer?
Does fishing line have expiration date?
its good if you change your line atleast once a year but if its is still doing fine and isnt causing any problems ride it out
I went fishing for White/Silver Bass with my old line none of of broke ^^. My dad said just keep going until they break because the line we use is Made in the USA.
Lol
Ok cool
Where do you fish
do you know any good bank spots at the delta? plz help
down in florida fishing in night tournments are you allowed to use many rods as you want? I seen a video this guy said he won night tournament but the gopro at 3.23 time showed him using two rods he said that not cheating huh? see look at this 18 1/2 lbs. First Place Monday Night Bass Fishing Tournament 4th of July....he should give the money all the money back all tournament events you not allowed to use but one rod at a time if fish come up you have to wind in rod then throw back with another rod
What do u think is the best all around rod
My new one that's coming out in July, IF's All In One
good shit G
IF sent me.
True true
Can you catch bass on big huddlestons at night
Yep
Thank you so much for this update, I have trouble fishing at night.
+Anthony Yang: oh yes you can...even better at night with big swimbaits
Anthony Yang - Nite is the best time to fish anything. Senko to Hudds, fish em the same as day. Always be stealthy.
Hey Man you're awesome, Thanks
“It looks BLACK” then way he said that was funny af
Hard Bass. Every freaking fisher has guides on how to fish from boat.. if i had a boat i wouldnt be here at all
..
yup
Also white plastics
I rarely use them anymore
SAIL!!!!!
Grizzly Beard Outdoors I hear ya!
What size and brand boat is that?
I'm afraid of the dark !
My other boat....
Stay away from treble hoo baits.....all you need is a black and blue spinnerbait with a large black colorado blade...a 10 inch junebug worm texas rigged...and a junebug trick worm on a 1/4 ounce shakeyhead
3:49 it penetrates the fish better ;)
This guy has 130k subs an he put commercials in his videos lmao
guys aren't the only ones who fish. don't exclude your audience.
second
Way too many ads
i dont want to piss you off, but i noticed you shaking alot in your videos. do you have some kind of health problem? i am just worried i dont want to be mean.
Probably too much coffee or tremors
First
Look how shaky your hands are lol
