thank you for this! i did this, and it KINDA worked. i changed it to something simple, so when i went to go enable something i had to enter the password. i did the new password and t said failed attempt. i pressed forget again and it added another failed attempt.

Okay this has nothing to do with this video but I need help. So I have an iPhone 11 and ofc I can use Face ID but sometimes it won’t work and I can’t remember my passcode and in order to change it I have to put in the old passcode before putting in a new one and it won’t give me any other option how do I fix this without doing lot of stuff?

I have a question, if i back up the same data on my phone even after resetting it. Will it not bring the same screen time password shit? I have done reset from the phone itself and after backing up from icloud. It brings the same password everytime.

Izz Dan bro, You have make sure you are using the correct Apple ID and Password. Or else, this process won’t work.
I do this exact same thing, but as soon as I finish, it just closes out and counts it as a failed attempt on trying to re-enter the password.
When I do it it don’t work when I enter my Apple ID it keeps resting the time I’ve forgotten my password for my screen time

FOR ANYONE “WITHOUT THE FORGOT PASSCODE OPTION” PLEASE READ CAREFULLY-
I encountered the same issue where the "forgot passcode" option wasn't showing up.
For anyone making the same mistake as I did. - you may be going to the incorrect place.-
Here's how I resolved it:
Open Screen Time settings.
Select "Change Screen Time Passcode." This phrase is 🔵BLUE🔵 not 🔴RED🔴.
Choose "Turn Off Screen Time Passcode."
You'll either be prompted to enter your fingerprint to disable the passcode, or the "forgot passcode" option will now appear.
If "forgot passcode" appears, select it and enter your Apple ID and ID passcode.
📌Please note, do not use the
"Turn Off Screen Time" option
for the "forgot passcode" process,
as it's incorrect.
Also, when choosing to change the Screen Time passcode,
do not select "change passcode." Stick to the sequence: Change Screen Time passcode > Turn Off Screen Time passcode = forgot passcode?
or fingerprint request which will turn off passcode immediately after printing.
