I think that the drinking age in Japan is 20, at least for the hard stuff. In some countries there is a distinction between distilled and non-distilled drinks which are allowed at different ages, but honestly I don't know if that's the case in Japan. Anyway, since Bocchi is still only 15 she's definitely not allowed to drink any kind of alcohol.

We put so much stock in what strangers say we're good at, while undervaluing the affirmations given by friends and family, while we take criticisms from friends and family to heart. Let's say the carton sake is an aquired taste. I tried it when in Japan..same brand as seen here....That's the Goddess statue I mentioned in another comment...The steps have been cordoned off as there is now constrution work going on just behind them.

I respectfully disagree. I don't know if you pay attention to the character development but I saw a character development in every episode. And it's not just bocchi that got it too. I obviously don't know what you hope for when you watch an anime but my suggestion is just enjoy it. If you get bored by it, there's nothing I can do.
@@lockman5196 It is not that Bocchi does not grow, it is that a lot int he episode does not seem to matter for the growth. Some episodes are great, some make me sleep.
@Tiago D'Agostini what episode that you felt irrelevant to the progression I wonder. Because most of them felt like important to the character from my prospective. Maybe because I already watched this anime on repeat.

The main focus of the anime is the band, Bocchi just happens to be the one we follow the most.
