So the same case as me I did not like this version at first, but after playing all the ports available,this one grew on me I like this one better than the Genesis port, even though the whole soundtrack is missing ,which is it's biggest flaw I did not like the new additions in TE,but it still is an enjoyable game Just not as memorable as the default version of the game
I like the sounds in this one better, but I like the features of TE better. They're both good, but man having the addition of a third player, the "power" stat which controls who can effectively push who, and the in-game injury stat I think it was called which forces you to play substitutions. Also, Scottie Pippen is less overpowered in TE. Like in a game between two good players, whoever picked the Bulls won because Scottie was insane in the original game.
Am i the only one who notices how the scaling in the SNES version is reversed? In all other versions, the players become smaller the further they get from the camera but on SNES, it's the opposite. The players are small when close to camera and big when further away. It makes the players look like giants sometimes. Someone must have really messed up the port.
I wanted to enjoy NBA Jam again but he AI is programmed to be extremely cheap. They will make about 90% of their buzzer beaters and other 3pt shots in certain situations are almost impossible for the CPU to miss - you can confirm this using savestates with modern emulation. I guess you could call it artificial difficulty inflation. The only way for the player to win the entire 27 team tournament is to resort to not-so-fun strategies. In the 90s it was all we had to do but I'll pass on rubbish rubber-banding AI in 2021.
Wtf was that cheese at 3:56:30 🤣 20+ years later, I finally get to enjoy the credits. I was crushed when I beat the game before school one day... came home, and learned you had to start all over to see it again. Nope!
