Cape Breton is so beautiful but rugged as shown by your amazing drone footage ! It would take a superhuman effort to blaze a workable trail on this impressive terrain ! Thanks for the easy adventure for me , although I think that you guys are nuts !

I've been watching daveyandsky's seawall hikes and it was cool to see another perspective and I liked your style, great narration! I just found out about the seawall and I also really want to do it before it's built so I'm heading out this month. How much snow is up there?
thank you! I haven't been in the highlands recently, but about 2 weeks ago a friend told me that on the highland logging roads, there were still drifts about 4 feet deep in some spots

This was great! We're thinking of doing this trail summer of 2023. Do we require a handheld GPS to get through the bushwhacking? And would you recommend going a different route to avoid the intense spruce? Recommended spots to camp? Any tips would help! Thanks :)
Thanks! There’s no trail, so a gps is 100% required for basically the entire route apart from the very beginning and end where you connect onto established trails. There’s going to be intense bushwhacking no matter which route you take, but some routes are better than others - I did it again in the fall and had a way better route. Definitely only do this if you’re experienced in the backcountry though, because it’s on a whole other level from anything else in NS and there’s a real chance of death/serious injury back there if you’re not experienced. Half way through and it's awesome but I want to express my disdain for spruce 🤣🤣 tough old trees, I'll give them that.
