    All this while the two “Texas giants” Duncanville and North shore lost their semi final games .. this debate from people in the south ain’t a debate and hasn’t been since 2010. Southern Section California high school football is just a different breed.

      You are comparing Texas public schools to California private schools who recruit the best players in the nation. Regardless, the Texas State Final will be played with 40,000 fans at Dallas Cowboys Stadium next weekend, compared to a couple hundred fans that watched the California State Final. We all know who is King in High School football, don’t we?😏

      Backyard? Davison who scored the first touchdown is a BayArea kid. He is from Walnut creek in the East Bay. Walnut Creek and Concord(de LaSalle) are neighboring towns. Davison comes out of the same NorCal training facility(Antioch) that produced Joe Mixon, Najee Harris and Raleek Brown.
      CIF rules for NorCal and SoCal are different even though both teams are Catholic Private schools. When these so-called Mater Dei or Bosco kids don't stay home, ITS BECAUSE MOST OF THEM ARE NOT FROM THERE.

    CIF needs to step up and book state championship games at better named venues instead of a community college. I'm sure saddlebrook cc is a great cc with good looking facilities. However, venues like, the rose bowl, LA colisum, levi stadium, memorial stadium at CAL, Stanford stadium migh mean more for the coaches and players. Nowadays, the cali state championships are so saturated with so many games, 0-10 teams can make state and play games at venues that more than 75% of participatants have no clue what it is. All the other big states like texas, florida, georgia, ohio, etc play in more well named venues. Step up CIF and stop being cheap towards the teams and players.

    • @bp2608

      Why pay for a big name venue when only a few thousand people are interested in watching? There was what, MAYBE 5,000 at that game? I think the CIF actually loses money on the state championships, none of them draw crowds larger than a big regular season game.

    • @JackOphh
      @JackOphh 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      I concur w that. Seeing all these other states playing in NFL stadiums while we the #1 and #2 teams in the country play at these CC stadiums just baffles me. I believe CIF committee is taking the money and putting it in their pockets. This has been going on for a long time now. Even the SS CIG needs to be played in a bigger venue.
