CIF rules for NorCal and SoCal are different even though both teams are Catholic Private schools. When these so-called Mater Dei or Bosco kids don't stay home, ITS BECAUSE MOST OF THEM ARE NOT FROM THERE.
CIF needs to step up and book state championship games at better named venues instead of a community college. I'm sure saddlebrook cc is a great cc with good looking facilities. However, venues like, the rose bowl, LA colisum, levi stadium, memorial stadium at CAL, Stanford stadium migh mean more for the coaches and players. Nowadays, the cali state championships are so saturated with so many games, 0-10 teams can make state and play games at venues that more than 75% of participatants have no clue what it is. All the other big states like texas, florida, georgia, ohio, etc play in more well named venues. Step up CIF and stop being cheap towards the teams and players.
Why pay for a big name venue when only a few thousand people are interested in watching? There was what, MAYBE 5,000 at that game? I think the CIF actually loses money on the state championships, none of them draw crowds larger than a big regular season game.

Watching de la salle run the veer offense when it has been outdated for years is hard to watch. It’s a shame because they have some great athletes but it could not be more obvious they need to leave that offense in the past

Cmon. The main point is private schools that offer scholarships are playing public schools. These private schools are highly funded and have way more resources than a public school kid. Alot of teams are adding this element. UNLV uses a Go-Go offense a veer with passing. They had 10 wins this season with it.
