Been always listening to this very often ever since you made it, gotta always respect the original version, but as for me, I'd say your version is far superior in giving that "final level" or "this is it" feel, flawless, thank you so much for making this, and absolute eternal favorite of mine!
No matter what version of this song I hear, it will always make me fiery and teary-eyed. Truly one of my favourite songs. Thank you for remixing it so much, you've made my day ~
Always wished Shinobi was on SNES cause that's what I had as a kid. Had to make the journey 2 blocks down to my cousins house to play this awesome game on the Genesis.
Wow that is a name I haven't seen in a long time I'm glad to see you are alive! I was actually listening to the Doom original midi soundtrack yesterday contemplating doing Mega Drive versions of them funnily enough.
Dude. You are amazing. I've been listening to these variations of popular tracks from the games on your channel, and they sound so dope! Keep at it! You got yourself a subscriber. I'd love to try my hand at it too.
Yeah what the fuck, he's actually hit the 799 cap. Must have some patience with attacking, I'm lucky if I have 400 by this point, such is my love of spamming that damn somersault attack on everything.
interesting how this sounds much more smooth jazz in tone which i think was the original intention but on the megadrive was harder to do so it got sped up and made more intense. I prefer the original but this is a really cool spin on it. btw have you ever considered doing the soundtrack for Soleil on snes? with it being a zelda clone i'd be interested in hearing if the happy go lucky bouncyness of the soundtrack comes off as more fantastical in tone with the snes soundfont.
Great work on the conversion as very much always. The instruments (percussion esp) lack bass and fullness in comparison, sounding midi-like which isn't unlike other Snes games. This is one of the very best songs in the entire Genesis catalog, having its sound hardware fire on all cylinders so no surprise this doesn't convert very well at least with these particular Snes instruments you're using, the same way perhaps with how Ocean Palace (Chrono T), or Dancing Mad (FFVI) wouldn't convert as well on the Gen. I would love to see your take on those songs someday using Master of Monsters and/or Devilish instruments.
I definitely plan to tackle more Square/Enix osts in Genesis format in the future. Doing orchestral well is really difficult with FM as I feel like the strings are usually the one instrument that lets it down. GeckoYamori and GalliumGrant are two people on TH-cam that I have heard nail that Hitoshi Sakimoto sound. Hopefully one day I can reach that level of craft
I wish you the best of luck man, that would be awesome. Yeah Hitoshi Sakimoto, Hayato Matsuo +other composers were/are truly talented. I wish I had the patience to make Genesis music. Well at least I play guitar, piano and some other stuff tho. So perhaps someday lol
9 times out of 10 i agree, but i feel like this is one occasion that the SNES sounds just as good. The slap bass and synth brass might not be as metallic as the original but it has a nice sound to it imo
Interesting to hear this track with that "canned" sound characteristic of the SNES. While it's true that the Super Nintendo sound chip is better at reproducing certain instruments, for other instruments, the Mega Drive sound chip sounds way better, like for this "Solitary". Both sound chips are very good, depending on the use given to them.
A superb Super NES/Super Famicom-style remix, good sir. The Final Fight 2 synth drum samples are a nice touch. By the way, the composers of Shinobi 3 -- Morihiko Akiyama, Hirofumi Murasaki, and Masayuki Nagao -- also worked on another Genesis/Mega Drive game released the same year as Shinobi 3 called Aa Harimanada, a sumo-themed fighting game using the anime series license of the same name ( gamefaqs.gamespot.com/genesis/570458-aa-harimanada ). I humbly request you make some SNES/SFC-style remixes of that game's soundtrack in the near future. It can be listened to and downloaded for Winamp with the GYM plugin from here: project2612.org/details.php?id=475 In my humble opinion, a large chunk of the soundtrack to Aa Harimanada sounds like music that could have went into Shinobi 3.
Ganbare Goemon!?

5 layers of parallax scrolling? Oh, be still my heart!
Wait till you play Musha or Thunder Force IV, some levels use clever programming to get 6-8 layers of scrolling. Insanity but wonderful.
best level in the game for the aesthetics alone, good remix as well
This is a man who knows his roots, whether Sega or Nintendo it's *s'all good!* Thank you for this faithful rendition! My favorite in the game. 👍 🎮 😭
Always wished Shinobi was on SNES cause that's what I had as a kid. Had to make the journey 2 blocks down to my cousins house to play this awesome game on the Genesis.
Actually, it's better that way. You had the best of both worlds. You had Pokemon Red, he had Pokemon Blue.
Just played through this classic of a game for old time's sake and LO! This appears in my subscriptions. Top work as always.

[32X PTSD Intensifies]
Do it, make those awful original port tunes go away forever!
@@TheLegendofRenegade can you do a snes of the intro theme?
This is amazing...this is my favorite theme of the game....love this remix
haters will always hate. keep up the great work w these mixes! @thelegendofrenegade

Outstanding Cover !!! This stage and game is cool. Brings back memories
One of my two favourite songs in the game, this remix is amazingly good.
I'm gonna assume the other is Whirlwind? Those are both my favorite, amazing tracks.
You assume correctly
Wow! Dat shuriken count right now!

I agree man. Like how is that possible without a cheat?
This is fire in my humble opinion! I love it!
Super Shinobi All Stars - Nighttime Airship
Nice! Look forward to Shinobi Walk.
Itaden is already done dude
The Analog Music Project
Shinobi III
Jazz/funk/electro groove band, did an analog recording, homage to this classic fighting game.
Cheers 🇵🇹
Multiple scroll paralax and more than 4 sprites at time. SNES in blast processing.
The SNES soundfont is always interesting for me. I grew up playing Genesis games and PS2 games, so the SNES is pretty different.
This remix sounds... rather heroic.
Nice work. 👌
Just uploaded 2 revenge of shinobi NES remix and shinobi 3 SOLIDTARY just now! This snes remix nice!
Give me a Megaman X vibe still dope keep up the good work 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
You made the song layered like it should be
sooo nicceeee
This sound spectacular! 😮
Yes~
Still does not surpass that of the mega drive in my opinion
That's like trying to rival God himself, Yuzo Koshiro.
@@edwardgaines6561 Shinobi 3 music is written by Hirofumi Murasaki, Morihiko Akiyama, Masayuki Nagao.
L, this sounds better than the original
He should be in super smash bros 2018
This sounds like Street Fighter II
TheLegendofRenegade please do all shinobi 3 music in another sega genesis style the snes sounds is so bullshit with my respect
And where would the fun be in that? :)
you can do it in sega genesis devil crush style or cosmic carnage style from sega 32x thats sega genesis style that will be awesome
hate the level, but love the music.
very good remix!👏
100% Chef Quality Soundtrack makes Chef Merito cry in his Grave
You going to do "Whirlwind"??
Dan slap bass. Yummy!
Saikyo style typo? I can dig it

What was the title of that game called at the beggining

nice choice of instruments, but well, i prefer the original.
some music only works on the Mega Drive.

Doesn't capture the feeling.
Please tell me what those are from. I love that brass and the saw lead.

Next time, you should mention where you get your instruments in the description.
Ain't nobody got time fo' dat
TheLegendofRenegade
Yeah, they do.
How did ya get the soundfonts?
Sparkster III: Return of Axel Gear
lol
Good rendition , reminds me of contra
This is awesome, but it’s just something about the Genesis sound chip and it’s synth’s that just can’t be topped with this game.
Not bad for a snes version.

Nope don't like it
Me neither. FM-92 REIGNS SUPREME
Stop it, the snes guitars are awful and the hardcore jank is gone here
ruined a classic
