    I really appreciate your videos - no, they are not as slick and highly produced nor are they as voyeuristic and passive. And this is why I have come to your videos, and so enjoyed them. I also really appreciate that you are prepared to be vulnerable and voice your love for the environment and your fears. I was really sad to read comments that claimed you were being a bit self riteous - how can you immerse yourself so closely into nature and not fear for hero also love that you don’t pretend to be “superman”…. You do stuff, you get cold, you get sore, you have worries about what to do and how to do it…you just make yourself available to other as yourself. Keep doing what you are doing, I think you and your wife, and your beautiful cabin are awesome! Be really proud of who you and what you are achieving, and for allowing yourself to be vulnerable enough to be real.

      Thank you for your wonderful comment, it gives me a lot of strength and encouragement. I've been thinking for a few weeks that sometimes videos get tired because I've seen a drastic drop in views, but this comment of yours encourages me to keep going. Another follower told me I looked terrified, but I didn't want to get this message across. I just wanted to be responsible and make people understand that when you have someone at home waiting for us and a weather alert is issued with possible landslides, it's only right to think about who is waiting for us at home. Grazie Abigail, thanks so so much for your words!😢🤗

    For the Bathtub: Garden, upside down for rain-proof storage, a hot-tub, a pond, a water-garden or a water-hole for local wildlife. I especially like the idea of the bathtub being used as a part of your water-purification system for example some reeds planted in it to help purify the water enough for the water to flow back on to the land or into a stream. All of these options can have the edges of the bathtub hidden by your local stone.
    Carry on with your most excellent videos and ignore the negative comments!
    Good luck from New Zealand.

    Careful with the shoulder/arm. You don't want to develop a cancer from so much pain and overuse. Regarding the tub. It can be the tub in the future to save big money. Covered with wood and stone it can be a water catchment, a garden, covered storage, wood bin, winter ski storage, food storage for chickens/ rabbits, outdoor bath. You can put wheels beneath and tow it to another location on the property. I supported a mailbox in rocky ground by building a stone pile around it like you did with the fence post. Great video. Thanks!

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's me thanking you! Great for the mailbox, a few stones stabilize everything easily. You've given me some good ideas, really, especially that of recovering rainwater, even if the idea of making a small garden for herbs is going down, that of recovering water is not to be discarded at all. Thanks Michael!💪

    So glad to see your wife with you in this video! I was thinking maybe you could fill it with rich dirt and put some flowers or vegetables in it to grow a nice small garden. It would have to have some sun for the plants to grow.

      It's definitely a great idea, by the way, it's my wife's main idea, even if we didn't anticipate it in the video. In that position she receives sun for half the day, which given the drought could be a good compromise

    Love your channel and seeing your progress. Your English is great.
    I had a though regarding the tub. Perhaps you could move to a area on the property that has a great view. Elevate it enough that you can create a fire under it and add your local stone around it to allow it to draw a fire. Then attach a water source to it, fill it up with water, start a fire to heat the water and you can both enjoy a bath with a view & some vino! You can both relax after a bards day work together.
    You could even build a simple shelter over it for when it rains… looks like you have all the privacy there to carry this idea off. There are remote hotels around the world who offer this type of outdoor bathing experience for their guests.
    P.S you are definitely NOT lazy. Please don’t listen to those who are negative and are judging you from their arm chairs, keyboards. Kia Kaha ( stay strong).

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your words are so beautiful, don't worry I don't listen to those lazy armchairs people... lol.😅😎
      So, the idea is really beautiful and very choreographic. At the beginning it was also my wife's idea, but we have drought problems in the area, and we could fill it with water, but I think it becomes a little expensive perhaps as a first project. I see that the idea of making it a small garden is popular, for example I had thought of making it a bench. Of course I can always find a second tub😎

    I’ve seen some stuff online we’re you can turn the tub into a hot tub and purchase a coil that you burn wood around and it heats the water! You can then encase the tub in the beautiful stones and it would blend into the cabin, or grow potatoes in it!
    Have fun and keep smiling!
    😊

    If you were thinking about re-building the stone wall behind the cottage, the bath could go behind the wall. You could use it as a herb garden then, close to the cottage. It could even have a small mesh fence around it to protect them from the beautiful local animals. As for the haters from your last video, listen to your body (and what it needs) not them. Vasca da bagno... Hmm, potrebbe essere bella per farsi bagnetto in estate con la moglie, ma se non hai l'acqua corrente e inutile. Puoi usarla come storage, come lo fai, o girarla da una parte e farla mobiletto per certi così, ma in questo caso occuperà solo troppo spazio dentro casa. Non va bene comunque di raccogliere l'acqua piovana perché sarà solo buona vasca per le zanzare. Non saprei, e utile solo per mucche per bere l'acqua. 😉

    Why dont you make a small green house off the side of your cabin then you can grow vegetables or herbs in the tub all year round ... also allows you to make compost of any food scraps or vegetation .. you can hide the tub looks by making a hole in the soil so you can only see the top of the tub or if you want it free standing then make a stone surround to make it look natural !
