The power in this song is truly God's work, and it's been an all-time favorite worship song of mine. I am speechless! A friend of mine told me about this song and she was right about it being powerful. Like many others who have heard this song, it gave me chills and brought me to tears. I lost my husband of 54 years eight months ago and Helene was supposed to make a direct hit to Robbinsville, NC where we shared the last six years. At the last minute, Helene moved away from Robbinsville, a Christian Conservative town, and moved on to the east. I still refer to myself as married with the only difference being my husband now has wings and is with Jesus waiting for me.
This song stopped me in my tracks while driving home from a really tough day. I had to pull off the road because I was blinded by my tears. Oh Jesus forgive the way I react to life sometimes. I deserve nothing and yet you still love me.
The Holyspirit ministered this song to my Spirit though had not listened to it before. I obeyed and searched.Listening to it God was speaking to me. I felt hopeless lately, my career seemed to be in a stand still, the dreams i had seem not to happen but God is reminding me that Hope never disappoints Rom 5:5. My parents are alcoholics and it can get really intense at home but even through that and more God has given me hope for the future!! And I will continue to worship God and fulfill whatever he has in plan for me till the day I die
This song will forever remind me of my mom who passed in August of 2020. Before she passed, she requested the worship team I'm part of play it at her memorial service. She battled cancer for 9 months before she went home to heaven. The lyrics in the bridge always make me well up

My childhood was hard and I hated being a child but one thing I knew was that God would deliver me. Hope lived in me. I now know about intrinsic worth. Jesus lives in me. I have developed a fear of swallowing food. I'm always hungry cause I'm only eating too little. Sometimes I want to end my suffering with my own hands but my being a Christian prevents me from doing it. I always look forward to that day that God will heal me and make me okay again. Btw, I miss eating fried chicken, spaghetti, and many more foods that I'm accustomed to. Please pray for me.
