maybe it's just the fog after all. During the summer the humidity level goes all the way to 99% in the Pearl River Delta.
In Shenzhen, this is just fog. I can assure you that in recent days. It is still summer in that city. I really like the creativity of the city.

shenzhen is more like a heaven of consumer electronics, it is the massive supply chain not products makes the city unique.
Would like to see a different perspective. Seems like you guys are just doing a condensed version of Wired UK's documentary on Shenzhen or probably "inspired" by them somehow?

Not too long ago Akihabara in Tokyo was the same, now it's declining and just full of anime and manga nerds.
Akihabara is very different from Shenzhen. Totally two different business.

Shenzhen is the place where most Chinese tech companies are founded. Huawei, Oneplus, Dji, Tencent, Xiaomi and many other companies that consumer might not know of.
And I think like some else says in comment , Wired did a better job introducing this city in "Silicon Valley of hardware".

Not really true. There are many this kind of places in almost every major city in China. Zhongguancun in Beijing for example.
But Shenzhen is in a unique position as it is the center of all the manufacturing.
