peko yama yea, fates had so much potential and they did nothing with it, awakening had a decent story but the 2nd half of the game was there to pad the game until the whole grima plot was shoehorned in
actually some of the kids do have crit chances, though it'd be trial and error in a normal playthrough of the prologue to even see the crit quotes once the chances of them critting are low due to the low chances you see in a normal playthrough. plus they die in a few hits even on grave tiles as Slayde will kill anyone not named Alm, Tobin or Grey in a few hits. plus I'm sure most heeded Mycen's words following the game or thinking it'd be game over if the kids died(they simply retreat. so I assume it'd be game over if Mycen or everyone died) unless they actually decide to fight with the kids so this is one of the few missable things in the game, the other being Rudolf's Crit quotes since some may cheese the map and never hear his quotes(Rudolf's crit quotes are: "I'm Sorry..", "Fool", No mercy!" and "The time has come!") he can crit Silque's illusions as he'll always target them unless someone not named alm is in the way(he can still target and attack alm but it's depends on your positioning)
the Crit animation is actually just Villager's crit animation. but still, adding in extra crit quote for just this brief moment is really nice. i tried fighting off all of them without mycen,but i cant kill slayde with just kids(the rng screws me over so badly

I really like those child attack animations and crit quotes. I just threw the children in forests and let Mycen take care of Slayde and his men. Funnily enough that was the only time Mycen got any action.
In an odd situation, I actually managed to get Celica take out a Soldier and Slayde due to the other children weakening him up. Though Slayde fought Tobin and... It was pretty epic since for 5 TURNS STRAIGHT they just constantly dodged their attacks.
She normally has the Golden Dagger (which if forged becomes Beloved Zofia) Now I still ask myself why she gave a weapon that turns into a weapon only she can use to Saber as payment.

I remember that I had to restart the entire prologue because I actually tried to let the children fight and Slayde got a crit. This is very satisfying.
