Hi there.... I would just like to ask why would you use a 50 poumd breaking strain sinker line in the bricks? Rule of thumb is to ALWAYS have a light sinker line. You will not just loose a sinker if you get stuck in the bricks. You will loose youre sinker, sowels and potential fish. Also, targeting grunter with .60 is over kill. Lighter line = more bites and potentially more fish. I would also like to ask what breaking strain mainline do you use on that 50 pound leader? I fish with a 16kg leader and most of the time, if im targeting eds, the thickest on my hook snoot will be 16kg and sinker line 12.5kg..... If I scale down from there, it will be a 12.5kg hook snoot and 10kg on the sinker trace. Even on 12.5kg, if you clip your 6Oz sinker you cast a mile without snapping it off. If that's the case, I'd suggest working on your casting technique..... Great leader line brand choice btw. I also only use Maxima for leaders and traces. Tough stuff! Fishing styles probably differs a lot seeing you fish up in KZN area and I'm based in Western Cape.... Anyways.... Have a good one and tight lines.
@@wernerventer7500 hey.. so hold the rod and line as normal.. when you get a pull let him eat “therefore the running trace” grunter likes to feed free and no resistance.. hope this helps…

Thank you for your tutorial on how to prepare a trace for grunter. What is the best bait to use to catch gruntet.

Brilliant Video Bro
Lovely Ash 💪🏽
good video bro
Hi boss, can I use this setup in the bay
Hi . So in the bay I would rather use a boll sinker with a swivel and about 50cm hook line. That will create more movement on the bait.
