- It's September 1989 and Routemasters were specially drafted in to work on Potters Bar routes 310 & 310A, a route normally worked by OPO Metrobuses. We see AEC engined RM & RML's at work at Enfield Town, Harlow Bus Stn and Hoddesdon. If you liked the video please subscribe to my channel, there are lots more transport & quirky vids to upload!
You must be moving onto 1989 LT footage files as it's unusual to see anything London Buses from that year on this channel.
Strangely vivid feeling footage. I can easily imagine standing on the pavement and being there, unlike other footage you've shown.
They look bling...
Great video
At 6 minutes and 54 seconds, the area briefly looked like the New Road in Chatham, just before the Gibraltar Hill turnoff, before you go over the viaduct.
Strange - when I was going to school I remember the 310 was a green bus to Hertford.
Yes you're right, this was a special Routemaster running day. The 310 still runs, but only from Waltham Cross to Hertford...
Why were they on the route ?
I can't remember now... it was a Saturday and they ran all day. They did a similar thing for route 84 but that was also the day of Potters Bar Garage open day but this one is lost to the mists of time! See the 84 specials here th-cam.com/video/8X2-Bcv9XWM/w-d-xo.html
First 🏆🥇
London United and London Buses brands were there but didn't spot any Firsts.
