- Actor Akshay Kumar weighed in on the debate swirling around an alleged drug nexus in Bollywood. He also spoke on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput and how it highlighted the need for introspection in the film industry. His statement came days after the Narcotics Control Bureau questioned actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet regarding the drugs case. Earlier, the anti-drugs agency had arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, and some staff of Sushant Singh Rajput in a case arising in the aftermath of the latter's death.
