They're from Norway, their name is German, and they sing in English on Dutch radio. Proof that awesome of this magnitude transcends nationality and language.
Just so everyone knows, it's a contrabass balalaika, it's been around for ages, it's been used in traditional russian music (particularly balalaika "orchestras") for centuries.
If these gals ever get back together I will travel to Norway to see them! Bummed I didn’t discover them for myself until March 2020. They’re FYAH!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That is just about the time I discovered them. It was actually this song that got me listening to them. Gads they each have more talent than anyone we have here in the States.
@@10thmt87 Nah man. There’s LOTS OF musicians in the States playing this kind of music. Hit some music festivals. 🥳 😃 Check out these bands/artists:: Diggin Dirt 🔥 Molly Tuttle 🔥 Green Sky Blue Grass 🔥 Halden Wofford and the High Beams 🔥 Melvin Seals and Jerry Garcia Band 🔥 Corb Lund 🔥 Make some Pandora stations based on those artists. Great stuff!!!
stumbled onto this video and DAMN i was surprised. its rare that a stumble has completely took my attention with this much joy... especially for music / music videos. needs more views!
well, yes, i agree! they're crazy talented and i'm in love with everything they've ever done, but they've said before how much effort they put into their stage appearance (costumes/make-up) and it's striking to see them without it
This might leave out a few details, but the essentials are right: Intro and verses: dm Bb7 A7 dm (C#) Chorus: (dm C#) C G dm (3 times) Bb7 A7 dm and you're back into the verses.
You might not be. When I went to see them earlier this year there were people of all ages there, from teenagers to grandads and everything in between. This music reaches everybody. :)
thank you stumbleupon for enlightening my mind and my taste in music. too many people dont understand what real music is (this is it). no synthesizers or coked up barbie dolls with mediocre voices. a bass, a banjo, and a guitar (or some uber ukelayle i cant tell). spectacular. thanks for sharing - this band has a new fan.
