What I want to say is that coming to a new country is never easy, even if you have lots of money. You have to give it time, with lots of effort, and with the mindset of no going back. Opening up and making some English speaking friends would definitely help.

Welp, we don't call Vancouver "HongCouVer" for nothing, or should I say "LittlePinkCouver," you know. HongCouVer is just San Fran North sans all the high-paying jobs, especially the high-tech jobs. And I am 100% sure that most on here who cheer these two on have absolutely no idea why "HongCouVer" is San. Fran. North. But that's another discussion for another day. The grass is not always greener. Many, not all, on here love to be cheerleaders instead of telling it like it is. Taking risks is one thing. Taking ill-thought-out, spur-of-the-moment, "extemporize," uncalculated risks is another, regardless of one's age. It has everything to do with having critical thinking skills, or lack thereof. Or, maybe it is just a BIG nothingburger other than to generate additional viewership.
Continue to grow your experience. In two year’s time, study partime a college degree or diploma in catering/beverage/culinary management/hotel management. Get a government study loan down the road
Vancouver is one of best living cities in the world. Though the cost of living there is super high, its living standard is well deserved. Wish you all the best in Vancouver
West coast living is more chill and laid back. If that’s what you two prefer, then it isn’t a bad choice aside from the high living cost. Compare to Toronto, I guess the good thing with metro van is that cities are all close by and as long as you live close by skytrain, getting to places aren’t too much of an issue.
@@daniellai7712 well, as long as they aren’t living in the heart of city of Vancouver, there are places that aren’t that expensive. However, it is questionable why they chose to move here from Toronto if financial is one of their top priorities. Just let them settle in and see what happens. Vancouver is far from a shithole unless you must live in the downtown area which could get very sketchy these days.

小弟三十多近四十年前跟青梅竹馬的愛妻初到加拿大. 我們感覺的第一口空氣不是時下青年的自由. 當時一點也不chill. 並且只有無限擔憂, 不chill.
請不要誤會. 事實上, 我兩到加前在香港已經有相當從小就不chill來搏鬥得到的教育機會, 事業基礎, 和經濟能力.
但這不chill路程真的一點也不chill. 對,不chill. 兩人在屋村長大, 環境一點也不chill. 對,不chill. 一起考進港大醫學院. 但發現它不chill. 港大醫學院一點也不chill. 並且非常不chill.
在漫長艱難的港大生涯從醫科學生, 到政府醫院實習醫生的路程中所經歷或遭遇兩人一點也感覺不chill. 對,不chill. 長期睡眠不足真的不chill. 對,不chill.
初畢業行醫一點也不chill, 對,不chill. 非常不chill. 尤其是當發現有時被病人看不起因為兩人都不是專科醫生時, 那種感受一點也不chill, 對,不chill. 真的不chill.
兩人便到英國提升一下自己兩人的過低醫學教育程度. 並且希望可以改善不chill的感覺. 兩人只考上英聯邦心臟專科(本人), 及腦專科(愛妻) 後以為本來真的可以chill 一 chil.
但好景不長後來想要移民加拿大, 所以只得空chill一場. 是零chill, 太空chill, 乾的chill, 不算chill. 到達加拿大後, 再次從頭開始. 從零開始過不chill. 真的不chill.
現在我兩老已經退休在溫哥華定居. 兩個兒子當醫生, 各自是專科. 上個星期問他們chill不chill. 二口同聲說不chill. 醫院太忙了. 一點也不chill. 相反地問我兩老可不可以東山復出到他們的醫院做習工! 這真的不是chill的兩個醫生兒子. 一點也不知道什麼是chill. 嘆!
有時間, 出來喝茶chill 一 chil.
人老了. 說話重複多了. 如果說多了一兩個chil, 請包涵.

@@daniellai7712 well, as long as they aren’t living in the heart of city of Vancouver, there are places that aren’t that expensive. However, it is questionable why they chose to move here from Toronto if financial is one of their top priorities. Just let them settle in and see what happens. Vancouver is far from a shithole unless you must live in the downtown area which could get very sketchy these days.

我去過溫哥華列治文旅遊,覺得好舒服. 有很多好吃的餐廳,坐sky train 都好方便. 不太了解那邊生活水平指數. 無論你們怎樣選擇只要能afford 到就好, 若收入低都好難過. Good luck!

@@anthonyjohnson2172房屋平均指數比 Toronto 貴，但實質大部份房屋同 Toronto 價錢相差不遠 。生活指數都同 Toronto 一樣；食物 Vancouver 比較貴，但 Toronto 出外食飯要比13% 稅, Vancouver 係只需要比5% （only for 餐廳食飯; 平常買嘢係 12%）。水電煤+地稅 Vancouver 都比 Toronto 低 。所以最後一年生活水平兩個城市都係一樣 。

I used to enjoy watching their vlogs but the more I watch the more frustrated I am for umi and seeing how brandy is. Everytime he finds a job he's like oh its too hard oh the employer isnt nice and this that but bro please theres no easy job out there and youre a newcomer so theres not alot of opportunities either. Umi literally sacrificed her job to move to Vancouver with him and this guy still saying oh im thinking of doing a "trial" at the job first and see how it goes. Like you should just be grateful you have a job opportunity in this economy.
Brandy talking about the fries being better in Vancouver then Toronto LOL dumbest comment i ever heard like please its just based on the person who makes it, theres no standardized method. He's saying that Vancouver food is better compared to Toronto (food court). First of all he was always downtown Toronto, he was not in markham or other areas. If he was in downtown Vancouver he would feel the same too but hes located in Burnaby so theres other opportunities like markham Toronto.

Vancouver is not cheap for life and expensive daily as same as Toronto. No different. Try other cities in Canada. Canada is very big area and not only Vancouver and Toronto.
